Catchy sounds and up beat tunes for making Monkey Music!
TIME TO SING
Music and language have many things in common and Monkey’s action songs have been especially written to support your child's early language development. Colourful props aid visual memory while repeated actions reinforce a feel for the ‘steady beat’.
TIME TO MOVE
Moving and dancing freely around the room with Monkey encourages your child to express the music that they hear with their whole bodies. Exercising to music forms and strengthens neural bridges that are necessary for later learning.
TIME TO PLAY
The Monkey Music Band offers your child the opportunity to practise fine motor skills using hand held percussion instruments. Band members need a certain amount of self awareness and self discipline which comes with regular band practice!
TIME TO SLEEP
Toddlers need active time for exercise and quieter times for calmer activities. Listening is a critical life skill which we nurture with relaxing and soothing music to conclude each Monkey Music class experience.
Our Monkey Music Heigh-Ho classes are stage two for toddlers from 12 months.

Our Mighty Kickers classes are suitable for children aged 3.5yrs - 5yrs old.
Mighty Kickers are confident with boundless energy and this is catered for in the lesson plans.
Our games are fast-paced and increasingly football-focused, with fun still at the heart, meaning that even new starters easily pick them up.
Children begin to understand the importance of team play and matches are gradually introduced.
Classes are £46.80 per month and run on a rolling monthly billing cycle (*plus a one-off registration fee which includes your child’s shirt and shorts of £25.00).
When a group of children discover all the adults have gone they quickly realise they need to survive on their own.
What kind of world will they build for themselves and who will lead them? By day they create the rules and begin working out what to do next; by night, they are haunted by nightmares of a mysterious beast.
Forgotten by society, it isn't long before their childhood games turn into a battle for their future…
Pricing
The work of the Young Company is always youth led and always developing, and our young people want as wide an audience as possible to come and see their work, so tickets for their performances are priced as Pay What You Want.
Tickets start from £4. If you want to pay over the suggested price, please feel free to do so. If, after you've seen the piece, you want to pay more please see our front of house team who will direct you to a pay point to make a donation to Chickenshed.

Led by passionate directors and supported by creative teams, mentors, and facilitators, it offers a vibrant platform where members from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow.
Through a blend of workshops, performances, and collaborative projects, the program fosters personal and artistic development while instilling a sense of ownership and pride in each participant.
With a focus on youth leadership and guidance, the Young Company ensures that every voice is heard and valued, creating a space for exploration, discovery, and personal growth.
Ultimately, it serves as a community and catalyst for change, empowering young people to shine both on stage and in their lives beyond.
Our Scrummers classes are suitable for children aged 5-8 years old.
In this group, we step up the intensity, complexity and speed! The games mix traditional rugby drills with really fun games, so the enjoyment level is high plus they're gaining the skills and coordination for tag rugby.
Children in this age group are highly socialised and have an increasing ability to follow more complex directions.
As their sense of independence and confidence soars, they are on the cusp of becoming self-sufficient with only an instructor.
They are able to perform more complex locomotor skill variations, gymnastics skills and beginning sports skills as they increase their
strength, speed and coordination.
A fun class for children aged 30-36 months.
Please contact The Little Gym for a full price list.
(Parent participation not required but parents/carers are required to stay with their children)
Junior Kickers builds on the foundation skills and football basics learnt in Little Kicks.
Using a familiar structure, children are challenged both physically and mentally.
For those children who started in Little Kicks, independent participation is encouraged.
If your child has just joined us you may need to stay close-by for a few weeks, but the ultimate goal is for children to be able to participate on their own.
The format remains learning through play and because children are allowed to work to their own ability, it is suitable for complete beginners.
KEY FEATURES:
- Children are encouraged to play independently of the parent/guardian
- 45-minute class
- Weekly classes
- Two coaches for up to 18 children (max)
- Each new starter receives a football kit
- 4 unique badges to collect across the Junior Kickers programme
Play and games are at the heart of everything we do.
Our games cleverly disguise the learning aspect so the children just think they are playing.
The more the children enjoy the games, the more they participate.
This enjoyment leads to greater confidence, which in turn leads to self-initiated participation and independent play.
Junior Kickers teaches the fundamentals of football in a fun learning environment through a series of games using our tried and tested structure.
Our Junior Kickers receive quarterly badges which highlight the key physical, cognitive and football skills they are exposed to in our programme.
Our Little Kickers absolutely love showing their badges to their teammates and family!

Little Piccolos music classes give little ones a fun and creative introduction to the fundamentals of music and make space for adults and babies to bond through music.
Classes are acoustic and led by trained musicians.
Each 30-minute class is filled with exploring musical instruments and singing original and traditional songs that gently introduce the beat, rhythm, pitch and dynamic.
These classes are best suited for babies aged 3 or 4 months and older as they begin to develop their awareness of the world around them.
