Junior Kickers builds on the foundation skills and football basics learnt in Little Kicks and is suitable for children aged 2.5yrs - 3.5yrs old.
Using a familiar structure, children are challenged both physically and mentally.
Disguised Learning Through Play:
Play and games are at the heart of everything we do. Our games cleverly disguise the learning aspect so the children just think they are playing.
The more the children enjoy the games, the more they participate. This enjoyment leads to greater confidence, which in turn leads to self-initiated participation and independent play.
Key Features:
- Children are encouraged to play independently of the parent/guardian
- 45-minute class
- Weekly classes
- Two coaches for up to 18 children (max)
- Each new starter receives a football kit
- 4 unique badges to collect across the Junior Kickers programme
For those children who started in Little Kicks, independent participation is encouraged. If your child has just joined us you may need to stay close by for a few weeks, but the ultimate goal is for children to be able to participate on their own.
The format remains learning through play and because children are allowed to work to their own ability, it is suitable for complete beginners.
Classes run on a rolling monthly billing cycle (*plus a one-off registration fee which includes your child’s shirt and shorts).
Mega Kickers is the culmination of the preceding age groups.
It brings together all the skills learnt and introduces them into real football matches.
Children continue to develop the social and cognitive skills as well as honing their football skills, putting them to use at the end of each session during the 20-minute match.
There is a focus on fair play, as well as a focus on knowledge, understanding and practical application of the rules of play.
Key Features:
- Children play independently of their parent/guardian
- 50-minute class
- Weekly classes
- Two coaches for up to 18 children (max)
- Each new starter receives a football kit
- 8 unique badges to collect across the Mega Kickers programme
Progressive Challenges and Matches
More touches on the ball lead to faster and greater skill gain.
Every child has their own ball throughout the session and our games are specifically designed for maximum touches of the ball.
The games are progressively challenging enabling new skills to be learnt each lesson, however children are able to work within their ability.
Children become more competitive at this age and are taught to challenge themselves and one another.
The match becomes the climax of the session and is the perfect outlet for channelling children’s competitive energy as well as transferring their skills into a real world situation.

LEARNING TO LEARN
The main focus of Little Kicks is what we call ‘learning to learn’.
Our coaches are taught specific techniques that enable children to get the most out of our classes.
We believe that play is one of the greatest development tools and when combined with repetition and structure, ensures effective learning.
Classes involve a number of games that require parents to put on their running shoes and get actively involved in the session.
However, some games are specifically targeted at developing independence. These transition games mean children as young as two will be able to play independently of their parent or guardian.

The primary goal is to settle children into the structure of the session, improve their confidence and attention, develop their basic motor skills and develop a good kicking technique.
A combined age class covering the motor skill development of the BEETLES & GRASSHOPPER classes.
During the session the trained coaches will follow the RUGGERBUGS programme ensuring that your child participates in age-appropriate activities.
This normally involves dividing the children into different age groups.
Your Child will now be developing “buckets” of confidence and self-esteem and will be autonomous in completing the rugby inspired activities on their own or as part of a group with the support and guidance of trained coaches.
Parents can now take a well-earned rest on the side-lines but always on hand to provide a bit of support and encouragement when needed.
For Year R children basic motor skills are now enhanced with more demanding rugby inspired skills, drills and games sequences further developing your / a child’s co-ordination, body awareness, controlled movement, and spatial awareness.
The basics of Tag Rugby and core values of rugby are now gently introduced with the emphasis of FUN still very much at the heart of the session.
For Year 1 children the focus is very much on FUN with more exacting skills, drills, and games to benefit the maturing child and bring together all the elements of the programme and their learning before they GRADUATE.
Your child will continue to build on their physical, social, and cognitive development and gain more understanding of the basic concepts of rugby through evasion games where they and learn how to TAG and play as part of a small team.
They continue to apply what they have learnt to perform activities through planning and evaluation of their actions to understand and improve their performance in order that they can move into U7’s mini rugby with ease and put into practice what they have learnt.
At the end of July (final session) your child’s achievements are celebrated with a GRADUATION ceremony.

This ballet class is suitable for children aged 11-14 years old.

At this age, the social aspect takes on a more important role as they become increasingly aware of each other and begin to compare themselves to and motivate their peers.
This results in very “coachable” children who are able to follow complex directions, understand detailed and technical instruction and possess a noticeable eagerness to
learn.
Physically, the average 5-6 year old demonstrates a greater degree of body control, having the way for more advanced gymnastics skills.
