Art Deco theatre overlooking the Surrey Hills.
Big on comedy & live music, 3 cinema screens & cafe.
Serving the community for more than 85 years.
Designed by architect Percy W. Meredith, our striking Art Deco venue was built in 1931 to house the Leith Hill Musical Festival and host renowned composer Ralph Vaughan Williams’ staging of Bach’s St Matthew Passion.
The venue was designed to host a range of community events. It comprised three Halls: the Masonic, the Martineau and the impressive Grand; all of which remain today.
The Grand can seat 900 people, and its original stage could accommodate 300 singers and a full orchestra. The acoustics were exceptional and there was also a fully-sprung dance floor.
The original family rave Big Fish Little Fish blasts off to Dorking for the second time for some award winning fun at this space themed event for families with 0-8 year olds.
Resident DJs Baker & Beale will spin an eclectic club classics set from acid house to drum and bass.
Dance through the bubbles, foam and balloons or make something intergalactic on the Nifty Natty craft tables.
Pop on some fancy dress, grab your toddler and get far out on the dancefloor - to infinity and beyond!
For families with 0-8 year olds but all ages welcome.
Our excellent face painter will be on hand. Be transformed by Doxa Faces! Kids: £8 | Adults £11. To be painted children must be over 2.
Fancy dress (optional): all things spacey from stars to aliens!
