The Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D) is one of the world’s most influential dance education organisations. Knightsbridge Ballet offers (optional) Royal Academy of Dance Classical Ballet Examinations for boys and girls. In these classes the language of Ballet, as well as knowledge of correct structural and muscular placement will be taught. Ballet is widely considered to be the most beneficial dance form for body placement. Elegance, grace with strength, flexibility, expression and artistry are taught and students will learn the disciplines of classical, free- movement and character. Please note that students are assessed by the teacher during their trial class to asses the correct Grade for them. Within the class the teacher uses the most current music to inspire the children to dance to from artists such as Justin Timberlake & Beyonce to Stormy and Billie Eilish. They also use classic 80s and 90s tracks to give a classic Hip Hop vibe. All tracks are age appropriate. Whether your child is a beginner or a little more advanced, our Street Dance classes are tailored to accommodate and are taught by out friendly, professional dance instructors. Classes will start with a warm up before moving into basic dance moves. Teaching the students the basics of rhythm & coordination. Then moving on at a natural pace adding tore technique as the student builds confidence.

Knightsbridge Ballet offer an exceptional hybrid program – mixing The Royal Academy of Dance structured examination syllabus classes with creative performance opportunities in a professional theatre on an annual basis. The Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D) is one of the world’s most influential dance education organisations. Knightsbridge Ballet offers (optional) Royal Academy of Dance Classical Ballet Examinations for boys and girls. In these classes the language of Ballet, as well as knowledge of correct structural and muscular placement will be taught. Ballet is widely considered to be the most beneficial dance form for body placement. Elegance, grace with strength, flexibility, expression and artistry are taught and students will learn the disciplines of classical, free- movement and character. Please note that students are assessed by the teacher during their trial class to asses the correct Grade for them.

Channel your child’s natural pizzazz in this Fun and Exciting combination of Jazz & Tap. Tap and Jazz is a great ‘ Old School style” originally created in America. This specially designed Tap & Jazz class is the perfect introduction to Ballet and has been created by Dakoda’s Dance Academy for both Boys & Girls. TAP –Tap dance is a type of dance that uses metal plates on the Heel and The toe to create a ‘percussion’ sound. There are many variation of tap but we prefer to teach ‘ Broadway Tap’.

Hip Hop / Street Dance is one of the coolest dance styles out there. From Popping & Locking to Breaking & Lyrical. Within the class the teacher uses the most current music to inspire the children to dance to from artists such as Justin Timberlake & Beyonce to Stormy and Billie Eilish. They also use classic 80s and 90s tracks to give a classic Hip Hop vibe. All tracks are age appropriate. Whether your child is a beginner or a little more advanced, our Street Dance classes are tailored to accommodate and are taught by out friendly, professional dance instructors. Classes will start with a warm up before moving into basic dance moves. Teaching the students the basics of rhythm & coordination. Then moving on at a natural pace adding tore technique as the student builds confidence.

This Modern Jazz class is suitable for children aged 6 years old. Classes are designed to develop focus, co-ordination, rhythm and performance skills in basic jazz / tap movement vocabulary.

This class focuses on putting it all together ! All the dancing, singing and acting students have learnt in individual classes is fused together and emphasis is placed on confident performing and style. Exerts from different musicals e.g. Wicked, Mary Poppins, Billy Elliott etc are selected each term and students then have the chance to show off these skills in our biennial Theatre productions.
