About Flip Portraits in Space
Ever wanted to create a self-portrait but thought "I can't do that"?Well, we’re here to tell you yes you can, with guaranteed success! Introducing the unique method of the Flip Portrait, taught by our fantastic visiting tutor Jonathan Huxley.
Jonathan is a contemporary artist and artist educator at the Royal Academy of Arts.
We are delighted to have him at the Conservatoire this February!
Using clever methods, he will teach you how to conjure up magical and astronomical self-portraits using acetate, photographs, Sharpies, and tissue paper... you’ll create your portraits with beautiful backgrounds of comets, planets and galaxies! Everyone will go home with a beautiful, unique finished work.
