About Jack & The Beanstalk

 Create and decorate beautiful, folding zig zag books with imaginative front covers to illustrate the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, retelling the tale in words, drawing and collage.

The beanstalk and story will both ‘grow’ as we open the books, and we will draw from the work of William Morris to inspire our ideas for the beanstalk, as well as the leaves and plants around the castle.

Inspired by the original story, we will retell it with our own personal interpretation and added characters, as well as decorating small backpacks that may feature the Giant’s castle, an enchanted goose, its golden eggs and the magic harp.
