About Make A Japanese Kokeshi Dolls

 Kokeshi dolls originated in Northern Japan hundreds of years ago but have stood the test of time and still remain a popular Japanese gift today.

Traditionally these dolls were carved from cherry and mizuki trees without arms and legs, instead having a simple trunk with an enlarged head.

This workshop will explore making the popular dolls using clay whilst trying to replicate the beautiful, hand-painted designs that give these traditional dolls their charm.
