The Conservatoire is the focus of arts education and events in South East London and provides exceptional lifelong learning. Our values centre on Creativity, Quality and Community. We are a charity offering group classes and Individual Tuition in Music, Art and Drama. We cater for all ages – from babies to retirees, welcoming over 2000 students a week to our inspiring cultural community.

About Play! Flute Beginners

 Play! is the perfect follow-on course from Roundabout or for beginners who would like to learn one instrument for a full year and graduate from the programme with their Play! Certificate.

Children are taught in small groups and, by the end of this year-long programme will be able to:
• play a short piece from memory,
• clap back rhythms,
• read and play back a melody,

One of the many joys of learning to play an instrument is getting to play alongside other people.

To enable this to happen, we run the Play! Together String Orchestra which regularly joins cello and violin classes together, and the Play! Together Wind Orchestra for flute groups.

Please note this is a year long course.
