About Story Explorers: Handa's Surprise

Children are invited to sit for a reading of Handa’s Surprise, the classic children’s tale about friendship and sharing by Eileen Browne, set in Kenya.

We will then create our very own fruit basket, just like Handa’s, using different techniques such as printing, painting and collage.

What will you put in yours? While we work, we will listen to a medley of songs by traditional Luo artists to keep us inspired.

An hour filled with story, art and music to start the day.
