KidsArt!’s core aim is to teach children to become accomplished and proficient artists who take pride in their artwork, and to nurture and encourage an informed love of art.
Children are given the self-confidence and technical skills to produce their own original art work inspired by a good background understanding of art movements over the centuries.
We provide a fun, stimulating and engaging experience and, over the programme courses, children will build up an impressive portfolio of their own work.
Artwork is sent home as it is completed, accompanied by an illustrated factsheet which records what the children have learned about the artist and the art techniques employed.
Do you love nature?
Do you love drawing and creating?
Then this workshop is for you!
Participants will learn about botanical illustration, with a fun, abstract and surrealist approach.
We’ll work from real natural objects, as well as photos, to create an inspiring gallery of prints at the end of our workshop, where the paintings might not always be what they seem!
We’ll be getting up-close and personal with f lowers, leaves, feathers, shells, and more... and you can bring your own, too!
You’ll take home a set of beautiful pictures, prints, and bookmarks to keep or share as gifts.
All learners must bring with them a fully charged device with which they can take photos.
Please bring along your device and a charger (clip-on lenses will be provided).
During our KidsArt classes children are taught how to paint, draw, print, work with clay, sculpt, collage, use soft and oil pastels, and other core techniques, whilst at the same time learning about famous artists and their styles – each project is inspired by an artist or art movement.
We cover a huge time range including prehistoric art through early civilisations, Medieval and Renaissance art, Islamic art, Mannerism, Baroque and Romanticism, pre-Raphaelites, Neo-classicism, Realism, the birth of Modern art, Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Cubism, Futurism, Abstract art, Surrealism, Expressionism, Pop art, contemporary art movements, sculpture through the ages, and art from non-Western European traditions – including American, Chinese, Japanese, Indian and Aboriginal artists.
Where appropriate sessions reference current London exhibitions.

Our holiday workshops for children aged 6-16 are a combination of half day and full day courses.
We explore projects working with paper sculpture, clay, design, mixed media, watercolour and acrylics.
Every student works on their own individual project - at the end of the session they'll go home with a finished piece of artwork!
These are the options for workshops for February half term:
Dripping watercolour Animals
Illustrating Monsters in watercolour
Frida Kahlo Casa Azul acrylic painting
Picasso Still Life acrylic painting
Clay Bird and nest
Clay Chimp
Foam room collage
Ink experiment collage
Half day workshops are 2 hours; full day workshops are 5 hours (4 hours + lunch hour).
Full day students must bring their own packed lunch (no nuts, chocolate or sugary snacks).
Please note, we recommend our full day sessions for age 7+. In our experience, 6 year olds can find a full day in the studio challenging so our half day sessions may be a better fit.
Van Gogh was an amazing colourist and really expressed how he felt through his use of colour and expressive lines in his paintings.
We take a closer look at his still life pen and ink drawings & his lesser known paintings to really see what makes a masterpiece.
Students will produce a still-life acrylic painting inspired by Van Gogh plus an array of sketches using pencil, chalks and pen.
Suitable for portfolio submission.
Our holiday workshops are for students aged 9-16 years.
Our sessions focus on skill building projects and creative exploration.
We explore projects working with graphite, paper sculpture, clay, design, mixed media, watercolour and acrylics.
Every student works on their own individual project based off their needs/interests for artistic development.
Murakami is famous for his fun filled installations, bright flat colours and large smiling daisies!
Murakami makes paintings and sculptures.
This workshop is a fun insight into these incredible works, we design & decorate a Murakami cushion cover and paint a panda on canvas, lots of bright colour mixing and happy images for a really great Friday feeling!

The trees are exploding back into life!
We will use paint, collage, and printmaking to explore sizes and shapes of trees and the animals that live in the forest... we’ll make big footprints!
Do they belong to a bear?
Looking at the work of Henri Rousseau, we’ll paint our own animal with spots or stripes and make a forest to hide them in.
We dive into the world of enormous stone figures, the reclining figures created by English artist, Moore.
His iconic statues stand, proud and beautifully smooth on Hampstead Heath and the Southbank in London.
We will make drawings using charcoal & chalk to try to capture the shapes and lines of these immense beings.
We experiment with wire, plaster, card and clay to create our own reclining figure.
