Creative Wiz Kids holiday clubs are packed with exciting art projects, both themed and free Art. Activities include painting, crafts, dance, drama games, music, face painting, free play and story time. The wider age range enables children to create individually at their own level and also to collaborate across ages should they choose. We offer clubs that are both structured and free-form. The perfect course for aspiring actors looking to develop their screen acting skills & knowledge, or for those looking to make the jump from theatre acting to film & TV. Under the tuition of professional screen actors, students on the 4-Day Screen Acting School delve deep into what makes screen acting unique and work towards creating an excellent piece of showreel material: the all-important self-tape! Through workshops, exercises on-camera and off, and professional talks around industry readiness, students will have the opportunity to develop a solid approach to the craft of screen acting and how to complete self-tape auditions. On the final day of the course, students will shoot a self-tape piece of their choice with professional lighting, sound and camera equipment, a perfect start to their showreel! Our Summer Schools are designed for students who want an exciting week of fun in which they get to learn and develop performing techniques and singing, dance, and drama skills from top industry professionals. A great summer activity for the kids where at the end of the week, students will get to showcase what they’ve been learning in a performance for family and friends. The school has two sessions and runs in the Summer Break. You can choose to do both sessions or to just do the one week as content will be different for each week. It is a great chance for children and young people to keep social, learn new skills, boost confidence, get performing opportunities and have a lot of fun! This Year's Theme! For Make a Musical in a Week – Week One, students will be creating their own musical based on the story of The Lion King. They will be using songs and routines from many well loved Disney films and shows. Who can attend? The Summer School is open to young people aged 7 – 16 years. Participants can already attend the Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School or be completely new. This will be the perfect course for stagey students as well as those keen to try something new. Since then it has won multiple Business of London Awards and has a growing and solid reputation within the performing arts industry. For young people who love films...whether it’s creating them or acting in them, YFA’s all-inclusive Residential Filmmaking and Screen Acting Summer Camp is a dream come true: a chance to eat, sleep and breathe movies! The camp is held at Culford School (Suffolk), one of the UK’s leading boarding schools, and includes all board, meals, tuition, equipment and activities. Students on YFA Summer Camp will divide into 2 crews: FILMMAKING CREW (for aspiring filmmakers) & ACTING CREW (for aspiring actors). Students choose which Crew they wish to join for the duration of their camp. Each Crew will develop specialised skills in their own disciplines though practical exercises, workshops and masterclasses with film industry professionals. And because we passionately believe that the best way to learn to is get out there and DO it, the Filmmaking and Acting Crews will then combine in teams to work together for the production of the movies. Each week of YFA Summer Camp culminates in a Premiere Screening of all the completed movies for friends and family in the onsite cinema. There’ll be a packed house, behind-the-scenes special features telling the real story of how that movie got made, and we’re guessing some blooper-reels too… Students in the Acting Crew will develop the performance skills needed to act with impact on screen, learning the difference between stage and screen acting, how to prepare for a shoot or an audition, how to physicalise your character, set etiquette, fight choreography and more, all whilst gaining confidence in front of camera. Students in the Filmmaking Crew will develop the hands-on creative and technical skills they need to take a movie from initial concept to premiere screening; from storytelling and screenwriting, through camera operating and sound, to editing, special FX and post-production techniques. We currently facilitate a few activities at the FunnCamp at Clapton; the sports activities include but are not limited to Nerf guns, tennis, rocket launching and sports day games. We always seek to add more sports activities and will promote new sports as and when we add them. Our arts and crafts activities are themed in relation to the holiday period, e.g. Christmas FunnCamps arts and crafts will be Christmas-themed. Children take the arts and crafts they’ve done home with them. Different activities take part in different facilities within the school. The facilities we use at the camp include the dining hall, classroom, astro-turf, dance studio and the playground. This is our daily schedule for our FunnCamps.
