Our Adult and Me program has been designed to introduce young children to the exciting and joyful world of dance through the building blocks of posture, stretch, creative improvisation and rhythm. Taught by exceptional professional ballerina’s through a series of exercises, stories and songs that lay the groundwork for proper dance technique. Basic elements of stretches, warm-ups, taking turns, traveling steps, mime, dance class etiquette and many more are introduced.
 They will start to incorporate individual dance steps into combinations, work on coordination skills using both arms and legs as well as meeting Michael and Margo the much loved Knightsbridge Ballet Teddies. The inspiring teacher holds your child’s interest, and the class will be positively affecting your child’s self esteem and nurturing their imagination & creativity. Boys and girls will be dancing through stories, using play props such as scarves, crowns & dressing up providing a magical experience that will leave them asking when their next class with DDA & Knightsbridge Ballet is.

Older toddlers have fun with their friends and develop a strong musical foundation for their future learning. TIME TO SING Songs for dressing up and telling simple stories! ‘Pretending’ is an important new area of learning as exploration and self expression builds self confidence. Through positive music interaction with each other, our toddlers are also learning important lessons about boundaries and how to handle frustration! TIME TO MOVE Toddlers are keen to get to know each other – bigger more exciting props such as hoops and parachute are excellent for sharing and making friends! Holding hands with partners in Monkey’s circle dances often makes the grown-ups feel very happy too! TIME TO PLAY Composing music is something that comes naturally to our Jiggety-Jiggers! Their strong musical foundation gives them super musical confidence. Props, images, music, stories and poems inspire our little monkeys as they create and perform their own special music. TIME TO SLEEP Most of our classes end with a little time for quiet reflection. Our Jiggety-Jiggers are gently reminded to practise new songs at home using some song words which may be printed from the Monkey Music Club. They may also be invited to bring something from home, to show in class the following week, as part of class topic discussions. Our Monkey Music Jiggety-Jig classes are Stage three for 2 + 3 years old.

Junior Kickers builds on the foundation skills and football basics learnt in Little Kicks. Using a familiar structure, children are challenged both physically and mentally. For those children who started in Little Kicks, independent participation is encouraged. If your child has just joined us you may need to stay close-by for a few weeks, but the ultimate goal is for children to be able to participate on their own. The format remains learning through play and because children are allowed to work to their own ability, it is suitable for complete beginners. Play and games are at the heart of everything we do. Our games cleverly disguise the learning aspect so the children just think they are playing. The more the children enjoy the games, the more they participate. This enjoyment leads to greater confidence, which in turn leads to self-initiated participation and independent play. Junior Kickers teaches the fundamentals of football in a fun learning environment through a series of games using our tried and tested structure. Our Junior Kickers receive quarterly badges which highlight the key physical, cognitive and football skills they are exposed to in our programme. Our Little Kickers absolutely love showing their badges to their teammates and family!

Mega Kickers is the culmination of the preceding age groups. It brings together all the skills learnt and introduces them into real football matches. Children continue to develop the social and cognitive skills as well as honing their football skills, putting them to use at the end of each session during the 20-minute match. There is a focus on fair play, as well as a focus on knowledge, understanding and practical application of the rules of play. Key Features: - Children play independently of their parent/guardian - 50-minute class - Weekly classes - Two coaches for up to 18 children (max) - Each new starter receives a football kit - 8 unique badges to collect across the Mega Kickers programme Progressive Challenges and Matches More touches on the ball lead to faster and greater skill gain. Every child has their own ball throughout the session and our games are specifically designed for maximum touches of the ball. The games are progressively challenging enabling new skills to be learnt each lesson, however children are able to work within their ability. Children become more competitive at this age and are taught to challenge themselves and one another. The match becomes the climax of the session and is the perfect outlet for channelling children’s competitive energy as well as transferring their skills into a real world situation. ANTS (Walking - 3 years) Step, Toddle & Throw! ANTS sessions provide the perfect start to your child’s sporting journey. As confident walkers this class aims to develop their co-ordination, balance and agility as well as language and social skills. RUGGERBUGS understands the importance of learning through repetition, so the format and structure of activities have been specially developed to build your child’s learning processes and self-esteem. Parent Participation is a MUST in this class to assist not only in taking part but also with the development of your child’s communication and listening skills. This class is also a great opportunity for some valuable parent – child bonding time. Please note there are different memberships available which can be discussed on booking.
