About Discover Children's Story Centre Discover is the UK’s first Story Centre for children aged 0-11 and their families. As a not for profit organisation, our aim is to support a love of language, literature and stories. At the heart of the centre, our purpose-built Story World and Story Garden are creative play spaces designed to inspire children’s curiosity and imagination. We help improve reading, writing, speaking and listening skills for children in fun and imaginative ways. Hootah, our resident baby space alien, is always on the look-out, encouraging children to create their own stories to send back to his planet Squiggly Diggly. Changing annually, our interactive exhibitions immerse families in the worlds of their favourite authors and illustrators, from Michael Rosen to Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler to Judith Kerr. Our Story Builders lead our interactive exhibition sessions and 0-3’s Storytelling, and pop up in the Story Worlds and Story Garden to tell more tales. Throughout the year we invite much-loved and up-and-coming authors, illustrators and other artists to run exciting events. We also work in schools, libraries community spaces and at festivals. Last year over 100,000 children and adults engaged with Discover. We have been awarded the Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance marque from Visit Britain and the Learning Outside the Classroom kitemark. Time Out voted Discover one of London’s top five family days out and named our bookshop as one of the top five children’s bookshops in London.

Join Little Supernovas for the story of Benjamin & Rosie Rabbit who, as it is almost Easter, are trying to build a brand new burrow, but the two rabbits have a very different idea of what is important... Our Storytimes incorporate British Sign Language (BSL) by our Storyteller with a British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 Qualification. About the venue: One of the oldest surviving theatres designed by iconic architect Frank Matcham, Richmond Theatre has sat in the heart of the local community since 1899. The beautiful Grade II-listed venue presents a wide range of quality shows, from pre- and post-West End Drama to record-breaking musicals, opera, dance and family entertainment. The theatre is also a popular filming location, having been used for film and TV including Finding Neverland, Bugsy Malone, Killing Eve and Ted Lasso.

Let their little minds run wild. 40 mins of imaginary play set to live music. Come and immerse yourselves in an interactive, magical, musical story time. Professional actors and musicians will run a 40 minute session that will get everybody's imaginations exploding. WHAT TO EXPECT • Some of your all time favourite stories come to life as read and accompanied by our professional actor and musician • Musical games and play acting • Lots of movement and activity • Parent and group participation as well as encouraged group play for your little ones • Laughter and silliness from start to finish SUITABLE FOR TODDLERS AND PRESCHOOLERS The dynamic and structure of this class is aimed at children aged 2-5 years. However, younger siblings are welcome to join in the fun. Whilst they may not be able to participate in all the activities, younger ones will certainly be fascinated by the animation and energy of this session. About MiniJam: Semi Formal Classes Fun and modern early-years education through music. MiniJam is as much about the coffees and natter before/after class as it is about the interactive music and sensory experience for the babies and children. We have pooled some of London’s top session musicians to create funky versions of nursery rhymes to jam along to. We have also teamed up with psychologist Dr Gabby Bray DPsych, CPsychol, B.A.(Hons) (Oxon) in order to structure our termly programme to best benefit your little one. ​Informal Fun Events: 🎸 GIGS - You can chat, you can feed, you can change nappies, you can leave half way through. No judgment or protocol here - just really varied music to listen to whilst your little one takes in new genres of from gypsy jazz to soul classics. 🎷 HOUSE PARTY - Featuring Ibiza style sax player. House music for grown ups, sensory play for babies.
