A week just for our young adult aerialists aged 13-18yo. A (not-so-little) something to celebrate the end of exams and the start of the summer! Come and fly on trapeze, silks, slings, and hoop, while also getting the chance to try out some more niche disciplines like: spanish web, aerial rope & aerial net! There will be some complimentary circus skills classes such as juggling, acro and handstands to round off their circus skills! No experience needed. About Flying Fantastic Youth Circus We believe anyone can do aerial, and having seen first hand the benefits of aerial for children, we wanted to get as many kids in the air as we could! See our classes section to find out the specific benefits for each age group. We have plenty of options for ages 7 and above offering some (upside) down time. We are passionate about having fun: the key thread in all of our children's classes, parties and workshops. We are big kids who enjoy swinging and climbing, just like your little kids! Life really is better upside down! We've been running our Youth Circus programme since 2013. Over that time, we've helped over 1000 kids defy gravity and find their happy upside down place! It might look like play, but underneath it all there's a heap of good learning going on. Circus and aerial skills are proven to improve kids strength, coordination, balance, stamina as well as motor skills and proprioception. So it's a win win! What's not to like? We run sessions from four venues across London - Bankside and Peckham. We have different sessions available for different age groups throughout the week, as well as half term and holiday workshops regularly available.

This week is an epic Aerial Adventure. We will teach you some tricks and sequences on silks, hoop and slings, and we’ll even get you on some more niche equipment such as Spanish web, aerial net & bungees! As well as all of the flying fun, we'll have workshops on acro, flexibility and handstands! On the Friday there will be a short performance for the flyers to show off what they have been up to all week so the adults don't miss out on all the fun! Please include a note on past aerial experience when booking to enable us to plan the best possible week for your young and teen flyers! Under the tuition of our award-winning filmmakers, students on the Four Day Film School embark on a whistle-stop tour of film’s origins and history: they learn screen acting, writing, editing, camerawork and even fight choreography – before they get out there and do it for themselves. Everyone has a chance to develop his or her own role and no one escapes without saying “Action!” Finally, after four action-packed days, the cast and crew will have completed their movies. Participants on Make a Film in a Day courses are given an overview of the whole filmmaking process from EUREKA!, through to ACTION! to IT’S A WRAP! Working in teams, these young filmmakers work against the clock to plan, storyboard, shoot, act and edit their film (complete with sound effects and music)… and by the end of the day their first movie is complete! Each participant receives a copy of their completed film to keep forever. No previous experience is necessary. Next dates: 7th December 2024 8th March 2025 31st May 2025

Under the tuition of professional screen actors, students on the 4-Day Screen Acting School delve deep into what makes screen acting unique and work towards creating an excellent piece of showreel material: the all-important self-tape! Our multi activity camp will cover a variety of sports & activities (including football) as well as games such as dodgeball, chess, drama, talent shows and other creative games & activities. Our OFSTED registered holiday camps offer children a safe and inspiring environment to learn, discover and have fun with their friends. We offer a flexible timetable where children can choose their activities, boosting their confidence and self-esteem as they shape and control their own day. Since the pandemic, children’s holiday camps have gained an even greater importance for the development of children as they provide social reconnection with peers and help them rebuild social skills and friendships. With children having increased screen time during the pandemic, our holiday camps encourage outdoor play, sports and adventures, promoting physical health and combating sedentary habits. This not only has a positive impact on children’s mental health, but will also help them build resilience as they adapt to changing situations. Just as important is the mental health of parents, and our holiday camps can provide a much-needed break for parents while knowing their children are in a supportive and secure environment.
