Our Baby Music Class is suitable for children aged 6 months - 20 months old. We aim to provide a solid foundation and love of music in all children, in a nurturing environment. Join us for a classically based music class for children aged 6 months and up. Children and adults enjoy opera quality singing, use of child-sized drums, castanets and maracas, live cello, violin, viola or piano accompaniment and of course guest stars like a saxophonist, and more. This is an interactive class between adult and child. Each baby and adult pair will be allocated a full set of instruments to use exclusively for the duration of the class. We ask the adults to come prepared to join in and engage their little ones and only hand out the relevant instrument, as per the teacher's instructions, for each song. Mobile phones are not permitted in any class.

Toddle Toes is our middle age group, who are just finding their feet! From walkers to 2.5 years. The class follows a set structure, which helps our toddlers to understand the class and even anticipate what comes next! We use fun props, a wide variety of music and we really get them moving. The goal for this class it to build confidence, develop listening and communication skills and, of course, tire them out for you! It is so rewarding to see their confidence develop each week, until they are brave enough to run into the middle and twirl all by themselves! Please note there is a one-off £10 registration fee, which includes your Tappy Toes t-shirt Three week trial £22 - Trial classes must be taken consecutively from the date of booking and are non-refundable

At this age, the average infant has an awareness of their environment: noises, music, people, etc. Their brain is developing at an extremely fast rate, taking in and processing massive amounts of information. Children at this age first learn how to roll from the back to tummy and begin pushing their chest from the ground (4 -6 months), try to crawl (7 -9 months), and enter the pre- walking phase (10- 12 months). Alongside these developmental milestones, infants attempt fine motor movements such as reaching and grasping for objects, waving and clapping. Please contact The Little Gym for a full price list. Our baby classes are a sensory musical experience, and we stimulate the babies through sound, touch, movement and colour as they sit, crawl, toddle and explore the space. Throughout our baby sessions we focus on the importance of touch and interaction between you and your baby as this connection is a vital part of babies emotional, physical and intellectual development. There is an emphasis on tickling, giggling, singing, making your baby laugh, bonding and lifting the little ones up in the air in time to the music! We look for their eyes widening, their lovely chubby legs kicking with excitement and their eyes following the sounds of the instruments.
