A summer theatre project for 11-17 year olds who are interested in sharing and developing a passion for writing, performance, movement and music. Participants will be guided by Chickenshed’s Youth Theatre Directors and our current Youth Theatre members in devising, writing, choreographing and composing their own pieces of theatre throughout the week, in a fun and supportive environment. Days and Times Summer Scratch runs all week, Monday to Friday, 11am to 5pm. Participants will need to bring a packed lunch and any snacks required for the day. Pricing Bookings are for the whole week. It is not possible to book for individual days.

Got little ones at home just bouncing off the walls? Bring them along to Peckham and we will wear the WHOLE family out! From ages 4 and up, this is only offering to those little flyers aged 4yo so spaces disappear quickly! We’ll get you in some slings, on some trapezes and climbing all over each other to do some acro! No prior experience required.

A buzzing mix of creative activities including drama, dance & movement, crafts, outdoor play and games for all 5-11 year olds to enjoy. Each week culminates with a presentation for parents and family that showcases everything we've accomplished over the week of camp. We don’t use formal scripts; instead, we create our own stories, which encourages children to use their initiative, listen to and share ideas, and create their own piece of theatre. During the school holidays, this is a perfect way to keep your children occupied, excited, and engaged! Run in collaboration with Creative Mash UK Ltd and our friends and experienced youth programme facilitators Laura Curnick and Dana Hillier. END OF THE WEEK PERFORMANCE The performance will be on the last day of the workshop at 3pm; family and friends are very welcome to attend. The performance is usually 20-30 minutes long. USUAL STRUCTURE OF OUR DAY 9am-10am Sign in & Early drop in activities: Free play, Board games, Crafts 10-10:45am Introduction to the day, meeting Teachers & Warm Up Drama Activities 10:45-11:15am Snack, play & water break 11:15-12:00pm Drama and movement session, games and activities 12-00-12:45pm Drama and movement session, games and activities 12:45-2pm Lunch break - Free play in the park or playground (dependent on weather) 2-3pm Crafts - Structured activity of painting, drawing, creating props/set 3-3:30pm Cool Down Time - Relaxing/Yoga, Singing, Stories 3:30-4pm Tidy up time and getting ready for pick up LAST DAY: Performance for Parents at 3pm, pick up straight after Creative Arts Kids is a performing arts education company, run by a collective of professional artists experienced in creating workshops in performing arts and fine arts. We are offering weekly dance and drama classes, as well as holiday activities for children and young people. We believe that everybody should have a creative outlet, especially children, and we place a strong emphasis on the enjoyment of arts, and on the creative process, not the final result. Children are encouraged to choreograph dances, improvise, devise, direct, write, perform, create props, set design and to make costumes. Kids are immersed in the creative journey from the get go, and are an integral part in creating their own show to perform. We believe this builds confidence and communication skills, allows children to express themselves freely in a safe, fun environment whilst building friendships. Both our termly dance classes and our holiday workshops have an element of technique and discipline, but are not rigid and allow children to have independence in their creative journey.

Join us for an 'Under the Sea' themed adventure full of singing, dancing and themed arts and crafts, leading to a Little Mermaid inspired performance for family and friends. With iconic characters such as Violet Beauraugarde, Veruca Salt, Charlie and Wonka we can't wait to spend 3 days creating a magical musical performance for parents. WHAT TO EXPECT Dancing, Singing, Drama Games, Arts & Crafts and Meditation & Relaxation sessions themed around Mary Poppins. Children are split into age groups to rotate around classes taught by our expert team of passionate performers. On the last day children are invited to dress up ready for a performance for parents and friends. Our teaching team are passionate performers with showbiz CVs, DBS certificates and First Aid training who love passing on their skills and inspiring the next generation of performers. WHY PSSA? We provide a safe, fun and friendly space on which children can develop new skills whilst making friends. It is our mission to provide affordable, specialised performing arts childcare to keep little performers active and inspired through the school holidays. PERFORMANCE On the final day of camp, parents are invited to join us for a Mary Poppins presentations to end the week. Over our signature 3-day Boss Kid Camp, participants will work towards a grand business project to win the ultimate "Boss Kid" title. While the KS1 group run their games/food/craft stalls at the Carnival, KS2 participants will be enhancing their financial literacy through concepts related to banking and investments etc. There is something for everyone, Maths lovers and haters alike! Key mathematical skills will be applied through the camp in order to best develop the most profitable business. This May half-term, we will celebrate the Global Day of Parents (1 June) by giving all the kids a taste of life as an adult.

Participants on Make a Film in a Day courses are given an overview of the whole filmmaking process from EUREKA!, through to ACTION! to IT’S A WRAP! Working in teams, these young filmmakers work against the clock to plan, storyboard, shoot, act and edit their film (complete with sound effects and music)… and by the end of the day their first movie is complete! Each participant receives a copy of their completed film to keep forever. No previous experience is necessary.

We welcome children ages 5 - 12 years to come and join us for our Showtime circus day camp. Our camp runs 9am - 4pm with the option of a half day, early drop off and late pick up too. In our Showtime Circus Camp your child will learn all things circus including poi, juggling, hula hooping, spinning plates and more! PLUS aerial silks, acro, aerial hoop and trapeze!
