Since 2005, the Comedy Club 4 Kids has been getting the best stand-ups and sketch acts from the international circuit to do their thing for an audience of children and their families… but without the rude bits! It's just like a normal comedy club, but it's on in the day, kids are allowed in, and thus there is a higher than usual chance of heckles like "why is that your face!?" "Comedy Club 4 Kids has been a highlight for children in recent years, giving them a taste of some of the biggest names in comedy, with the fun, rowdy feel of a real comedy club. Past line-ups have included Stewart Lee, Jason Byrne, David O'Doherty and Adam Hills, and it's always interesting to see how comics adapt their material for kids, and to see those who can get a laugh without falling back on the toilet jokes. This class is for children who have attained a high degree of skill and are up for a challenge to take their gymnastics to the next level. Conditioning and strength activities are incorporated, many of which require group cooperation and teamwork. Children in this age group are now displaying marked growth in their social, emotional and physical self-confidence and self-esteem. They are able to handle more complex directions and have noticeably longer attention spans. Physically, they have mastered most all of the basic locomotor movements, including skipping. Because of their movement experience, they are noticeably stronger, more agile, more coordinated, and have a broad base of gymnastics skills. This sets the stage for considerable skill growth in gymnastics - Tumbling skills, preceded by locomotor movements, are introduced and mastered (galloping, cartwheels, run, jump, forward roll, etc.). - Multiple skills are taught simultaneously, reinforcing the children’s ability to handle more complex directions. - More challenging gymnastics skills help children become stronger, more agile, more coordinated, and more self-confident. Oscar Wilde’s The Selfish Giant is brought to life in this beautiful and heartwarming adaptation by James Boswell. Performed with great skill and humour using marionettes (string puppets), what better place than The Puppet Barge for the audience to float away into the magical world of this much loved story.

A fun class for children aged 5 to 6 year olds. The average 5-6 year old is very comfortable and confident in a structured class setting. At this age, the social aspect takes on a more important role as they become increasingly aware of each other and begin to compare themselves to and motivate their peers. This results in very “coachable” children who are able to follow complex directions, understand detailed and technical instruction and possess a noticeable eagerness to learn. In our Beginner Ballet classes, we use a wide variety of music including funky re-mixed nursery rhymes, classical masterpieces and much more. Classes are delivered by friendly professional teachers who deliver this non-stop energy-packed class that will have your little one’s confidence soaring. Social skills, self-awareness, awareness of others, sharing, taking turns and many other important development lifelong skills are implemented. We use lots of different props to enhance the fun, and parents or carers can be as involved as much or little as their child wants or needs. This Beginner Ballet class is suitable for children aged 1-2 years old.

Our Mighty Kickers classes are suitable for children aged 3.5yrs - 5yrs old. Mighty Kickers are confident with boundless energy and this is catered for in the lesson plans. Our games are fast-paced and increasingly football-focused, with fun still at the heart, meaning that even new starters easily pick them up. Children begin to understand the importance of team play and matches are gradually introduced. Classes are £46.80 per month and run on a rolling monthly billing cycle (*plus a one-off registration fee which includes your child’s shirt and shorts of £25.00).

A combined age class covering the motor skill development of the BEETLES & GRASSHOPPER classes. During the session the trained coaches will follow the RUGGERBUGS programme ensuring that your child participates in age-appropriate activities. This normally involves dividing the children into different age groups. Your Child will now be developing “buckets” of confidence and self-esteem and will be autonomous in completing the rugby inspired activities on their own or as part of a group with the support and guidance of trained coaches. Parents can now take a well-earned rest on the side-lines but always on hand to provide a bit of support and encouragement when needed. For Year R children basic motor skills are now enhanced with more demanding rugby inspired skills, drills and games sequences further developing your / a child’s co-ordination, body awareness, controlled movement, and spatial awareness. The basics of Tag Rugby and core values of rugby are now gently introduced with the emphasis of FUN still very much at the heart of the session. For Year 1 children the focus is very much on FUN with more exacting skills, drills, and games to benefit the maturing child and bring together all the elements of the programme and their learning before they GRADUATE. Your child will continue to build on their physical, social, and cognitive development and gain more understanding of the basic concepts of rugby through evasion games where they and learn how to TAG and play as part of a small team. They continue to apply what they have learnt to perform activities through planning and evaluation of their actions to understand and improve their performance in order that they can move into U7’s mini rugby with ease and put into practice what they have learnt. At the end of July (final session) your child’s achievements are celebrated with a GRADUATION ceremony.

Musical Theatre is a fantastic fun form of theatrical performance that kids love. All the dancing, singing and acting students have learnt in individual classes are fused together and emphasis is placed on confident performing and style. Exerts from different musicals e.g. Wicked, Mary Poppins, Billy Elliott etc are selected each term and students then have the chance to show off these skills in our biennial Theatre productions. This musical theatre class is suitable for children aged 4-6 years old.
