Our Baby Music Class is suitable for children aged 6 months - 20 months old. We aim to provide a solid foundation and love of music in all children, in a nurturing environment. Join us for a classically based music class for children aged 6 months and up. Children and adults enjoy opera quality singing, use of child-sized drums, castanets and maracas, live cello, violin, viola or piano accompaniment and of course guest stars like a saxophonist, and more. This is an interactive class between adult and child. Each baby and adult pair will be allocated a full set of instruments to use exclusively for the duration of the class. We ask the adults to come prepared to join in and engage their little ones and only hand out the relevant instrument, as per the teacher's instructions, for each song. Mobile phones are not permitted in any class.

A fun class for children aged 10-18 months. By this age, most children are moving: walking or soon to be. Whether “vertical” or “horizontal”, children now have the ability to explore their environment and, in the process, can learn to problem solve, take risks and establish a sense of independence. They are also beginning to speak, enjoy being around other children and can start following simple directions. Their increased dexterity, strength and more proportionate bodies allow them to learn and perform more advanced physical skills. Please contact The Little Gym for a full price list.

Our baby classes are for children aged 6 months to when they start walking. It's a great time to introduce babies to the world of music and dance and supports their early development. We use a variety of sensory props to engage them, including; glow balls, bells, scarves, pom-poms, ribbons and feathers. We sing nursery rhymes, boogie along to pop music, their favourite TV theme tunes and listen to a variety of world music. It is a fantastic class to bond with baby and help their coordination with clapping, waving, reaching for props and so much more! Please note there is a one-off £10 registration fee, which includes your Tappy Toes t-shirt Three week trial £22 - Trial classes must be taken consecutively from the date of booking and are non-refundable

Our baby classes are a sensory musical experience, and we stimulate the babies through sound, touch, movement and colour as they sit, crawl, toddle and explore the space. Throughout our baby sessions we focus on the importance of touch and interaction between you and your baby as this connection is a vital part of babies emotional, physical and intellectual development. There is an emphasis on tickling, giggling, singing, making your baby laugh, bonding and lifting the little ones up in the air in time to the music! We look for their eyes widening, their lovely chubby legs kicking with excitement and their eyes following the sounds of the instruments. At this age, the average infant has an awareness of their environment: noises, music, people, etc. Their brain is developing at an extremely fast rate, taking in and processing massive amounts of information. Children at this age first learn how to roll from the back to tummy and begin pushing their chest from the ground (4 -6 months), try to crawl (7 -9 months), and enter the pre- walking phase (10- 12 months). Alongside these developmental milestones, infants attempt fine motor movements such as reaching and grasping for objects, waving and clapping. A fun class for children aged 4-10 months.
