Star Seekers Alph, Betty and Gammo need your help to save their space station, collect all the orbs and delve into the great unanswered question of the universe: what do astronauts really have for tea? Inspired by our childhood wonder of the universe, The Wardrobe Ensemble and The Wardrobe Theatre have created a unique theatrical experience for children. The Star Seekers is an interactive show that explores the limitless majesty of galaxies, the solar system, shooting stars and planets through songs, silliness and anti-gravity antics.

Grown Up Comedy...Babies Welcome! Bring Your Own Baby Comedy is the UK’s premier baby-friendly comedy club. Our award winning shows feature the funniest comedians in a totally baby-friendly environment. The line up for the May show is MC Sarah Iles ("never fails to deliver" Chortle), Felicity Ward ("Smart, swaggering standup" The Guardian), and Mark Cram ("Clever and fearless" Just for Laughs). These events are all about you… the parents! (but don’t worry – we also take great care of our younger guests.) We provide comfortable seating, buggy parking and baby changing, so that your baby is happy and you can relax. We also keep at least 40 spare seats in the theatre, so you and your baby have plenty of space. And there's a 'breakout room' nearby, if you need a quiet space with baby at any time. The bar is fully stocked, whether you fancy a cuppa or even something a bit stronger.   If you need to whip out a bum (the baby’s please!) a boob or a bottle please feel free… and our comics won’t mind being heckled by our younger guests! The show features two acts plus a compere, and the whole show will last approx. 75 minutes. Please note that our comics are performing their usual 'grown up' material, which is why we have a 15 month age limit for our little laughers.

Join the country’s longest-established amateur ballet company plus specially invited guests for a sparkling programme of dance. The performances will feature scenes from Petipa’s classical masterpiece La Bayadère and culminate with the joyous, uplifting tarantella from Bournonville’s Napoli. These familiar favourites contrast with original, contemporary works showcasing the choreographic talents of four of the company’s dancers. Chelsea Ballet is proud to have been taking ballet into the community and giving a platform to adult performers and creatives since 1967.

To date White Rabbit, Red Rabbit has been performed in 78 Countries and 30 different languages by over 3.000 different actors, making it the most-performed Iranian play ever! Forbidden to leave his country, playwright Nassim Soleimanpour distilled the experience of an entire generation in a wild, utterly original play. White Rabbit, Red Rabbit is a work about contemporary Iran and of Nassim’s generation. A generation born amidst the hardship of the Iran-Iraq war. A generation of computer-literate, well-informed young people who have never known an Iran other than the Islamic Republic.

Join poet Simon Mole and musician Gecko for a family show full of poems, raps and songs about all your favourite prehistoric protagonists (and some you haven’t heard of yet!). Expect some spine-tinglingly funny scares and get your groove on to some Jurassic Classics! The show is inspired by Simon Mole’s 4th book; A First Book of Dinosaurs, illustrated by Matt Hunt, published by Walker Books in September 2023.

All aboard for a delightful train journey through India. choogh choogh is a family-friendly show inspired by the joy for travelling through India on a train. It combines classical Indian dance with contemporary movement, theatre and play, sharing with audiences a world full of colour, invention and flow. The journey starts with the audience getting a special choogh choogh ticket. Three artists weave a traveling tapestry with three scarves and original songs evoking, the sights, sounds and smells of the train, hawkers, festivals, musicians, rivers, jungles and cities. Along the way as your train ticket get checked and imaginary food is sold and shared, this show is an exploration of just how much we can see and imagine, together, as the train chooghs chooghs on.

Made in consultation with paediatricians, Under the Little Red Moon explores the development of language with the help of music and movement, composed by Russell Hepplewhite. This performance is suitable for ages 6-24 months.

A Relaxed Performance is taking place on Mon 1 Apr, 1pm Relaxed performances are open to everyone but are particularly suitable for people with sensory, communication or learning disabilities, and anyone who would benefit from a less formal environment. Astonishingly performed, adapted and directed by Olivier Award winner Guy Masterson, director of the Olivier nominated West End hit The Shark Is Broken. An enchanting and interactive production, I Believe in Unicorns, which won an Argus Angel Award for Artistic Excellence at Brighton Festival, sparks imagination in both young and old. We challenge you not to believe in unicorns after joining Tomas’ spellbinding journey. 'I Believe in Unicorns' also includes a 'book swap’, for which audience members are invited to bring along a favourite children's book (for ages 6 and upwards) to help form part of the stage set at the beginning of the show. At the end the children are invited to swap their book for another one and so have a new story 'from the library' to take home with them. (This is not obligatory and we do have a few extra books for those who cannot bring one with them)

Pop School is a chance to play at being a professional pop star for a day! Participants will write original lyrics to a new song by writer / performer Claire Gaydon and prestigious music producer James Jacob (who has produced records for Little Simz, Dua Lipa & Lana Del Ray) as well as learning choreography and exploring fashion and branding. This 1-day workshop will take place from 10am - 3pm each day. A hot lunch is included.

On Saturday 3 June at 11am Anna Bruder will be offering a free drop in interactive workshop where you will be able to make your own finger puppets and games which you can take home at the end of the day. The workshop is held on the final day of Anna Bruder's interactive exhibition. It runs from 11am - 2pm with last entry at 1.30pm. It’s finger fun you don’t want to miss! Are you interested in performing or acting? Want to take part in a play? Join our NT Connections Company! Every year we bring together a group of fantastic young people to make our artsdepot Connections company to perform one of the National Theatre Connections plays. The company explore and rehearse the play weekly on Tuesdays from December with a Professional Director, and then perform the play at artsdepot on our Studio Theatre stage as part of the NT Connections Festival in April! We will be holding a group workshop audition on Tuesday 28 November from 5pm – 7pm at artsdepot. This is an opportunity for us to meet each other and for you to get a taste of the process.

We’re delighted to be welcoming The Brick People to artsdepot, who’ll be offering a wide range of LEGO® related activities.  Each session lasts for 1 hour, during which you can get choose your own adventure and get stuck in to various LEGO® activity tables and check out a selection of amazing official and unofficial LEGO® creations by The Brick People and the wider LEGO® hobbyist community. Come along to enjoy a series of free flow workshops including: SPEED BUILD – Think you’ve for good skills? Try the speed build challenge. RACEWAY – Build a vehicle to race down our track made with LEGO® and time your run! MOSAICS – Create a mosaic using LEGO® DOTS and add your design to the mosaic display. TIMED TOWER - How tall can you make a tower with LEGO® in just 1 minute? YOUNG BUILDERS – AKEGO DUPLO play area to keep the youngest builders occupied!
