It’s Christmas Eve, and the miserly misanthrope, Ebenezer Scrooge, is about to have a ghostly night he’ll never forget. Dickens’ festive, immortal tale of redemption and compassion is brought to life in Dyad Productions' inimitable solo style.
The award-winning Dyad Productions, (A Room of One’s Own, I, Elizabeth, Austen’s Women, Female Gothic) who have toured their sell-out festive show Christmas Gothic since 2015, now bring their magic to Dickens’ classic and perennially relevant ghost story.
Draw near for an evening of mistletoe and merriment in the company of Marley, Fezziwig, and Cratchit et al to discover the true meaning of Christmas: tenderness for the past, courage for the present, and hope for the future.
Ebenezer lives in us all, and this glorious tale reminds us how not to give in to the Scrooge within.
Taking inspiration from Dickens’ original performances of his own work and utilising the brilliant narrator of the novel to bring the story to life, this solo piece is performed by Andrew Margerison (Frantic Assembly’s Fatherland, Macbeth), and directed by Rebecca Vaughan.
Blackeyed Theatre return to artsdepot with a gripping adaptation of Bram Stoker's chilling tale.
The year is 1897.
Mankind is on the cusp of vast technological change, scientific mastery and media innovation.
But poised between traditional beliefs, the threat of the unknown and the shock of the new world, an altogether darker fear is emerging.
As a new shadow looms large over England, a small group of young men and women, lead by Professor Van Helsing, are plunged into an epic struggle for survival.
Stretching from London, through provincial England, to the mountainous wastes of Transylvania, Bram Stoker’s timeless gothic thriller embodies the struggle to break taboos, resist temptation and stop the unknown outside becoming the enemy within.
Adapted by Nick Lane, this brilliant, theatrical treatment of Bram Stoker’s adventure blends Victorian Gothic with the Contemporary, showcasing Blackeyed Theatre’s trademark ensemble performance style and featuring a haunting soundscape, powerful performances and innovative design for an exhilarating theatrical experience.
Blackeyed Theatre return to artsdepot following Oh What A Lovely War in 2023 and Sherlock Holmes – The Valley of Fear in 2024.

These events are all about you… the parents! (but don’t worry – we also take great care of our younger guests.)
We provide comfortable seating, buggy parking and baby changing, so that your baby is happy and you can relax.
We also keep at least 40 spare seats in the theatre, so you and your baby have plenty of space. And there's a 'breakout room' nearby, if you need a quiet space with baby at any time.
The bar is fully stocked, whether you fancy a cuppa or even something a bit stronger.
If you need to whip out a bum (the baby’s please!) a boob or a bottle please feel free… and our comics won’t mind being heckled by our younger guests!
The show features two acts plus a compere, and the whole show will last approx. 75 minutes.
Please note that our comics are performing their usual 'grown up' material, which is why we have a 15 month age limit for our little laughers.
