Our venue incorporates a 395 seat theatre, 148 seat studio theatre, Creation Space (research lab), gallery, drama, dance and art studios, free children’s playspace, café and bar. Since opening in 2004 we've had our roots firmly in the community and welcome over 162,000 visitors each year. In addition to presenting a vibrant year-round programme of performances and exhibitions, we provide opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy the arts and explore their creativity through a wide range of participation, schools and outreach projects. We also nurture new creative talent and support artists through artist development initiatives including artist residencies and workshops. A close-shave with a landmine, menaced by a warlord and abducted by the Mujahideen: this is the extraordinary, true story of a British comedian and photographer in war-torn Afghanistan... 

Performed by Henry Naylor & featuring Sam Maynard’s photography, this docu-play takes us to the start of a modern tragedy. Directed by Martha Lott & Darren Lee Cole, the show comes to artsdepot after smash-hit runs Off-Broadway and Off West-End.
