About Riding a Donkey Backwards & Other Tales

Khayaal Theatre Company's Eleanor Martin will present a riveting collection of wise and foolish tales from Muslim literature for family audiences.

Featuring the incredible antics of Mulla Nasruddin, an icon of Muslim humour, whose tales are the subject of Khayaal's acclaimed children’s book.

This is one for lovers of fun, mirth and laughter.

Founded in 1997, Khayaal is the first English language multi award-winning professional Muslim theatre company dedicated to the dramatic interpretation of Muslim and interfaith literature and the experience of Muslims in the modern world for the stage, film, radio, publishing and education.

For over 25 years, Khayaal has served cross-cultural audiences numbering over a million, both nationally and internationally.
