This new group of our Chelsea Chess Club, exclusively for 5 to 7-year-olds, was created in January 2024. Chess Rising Stars London Academy has designed the ideal environment to help introduce the game to younger children. Lessons are shorter than at our original Chelsea Chess Club and will be in a smaller teaching group. Your child will discover the joys of learning chess in an interactive and enjoyable setting. We will work together on chess strategy and tactics, as well as associated skills such as sportsmanship, planning, and focus. No knowledge of chess is required, although we suggest that anyone without a chess background join the club by week 3 of the term. Additional Information: • Beginners, intermediate and advanced players are all welcome! • Trophies, medals, toys and certificates will be awarded at the end of term. • The sessions will be taught by FIDE Instructors WFM Maria Manelidou and Chris Russell with guest appearances from other experienced members of the Chess Rising Stars coaching team, including Vinay Vekaria and Eric Eedle. • Registered with the English Chess Federation’s Club Finder Tool.
