The Chickenshed Community Choir is a uniquely inclusive environment to develop your singing skills as part of an ensemble through a fantastic series of vocal sessions. During the workshop, you will learn and help to develop vocal arrangements for a wonderful mix of songs arranged with a Chickenshed twist! Each week choir members have the opportunity to gain skills, confidence and a deeper understanding of how different voices can work together. To put your newfound skills into practice, there will be ample opportunities to perform throughout the year!No previous participation, experience or ability to read music is required - all you need is an interest in singing and plenty of enthusiasm!

Catering to children of all experience levels, our Performance Project is thoughtfully designed to combine and develop music, dance, and singing skills. Feel free to join in on a weekly basis, but do note that spaces are limited. To secure your spot, we highly recommend booking in advance. Through this project, your child will journey towards an exciting live performance at Chickenshed, complete with lighting, music, and costumes! The performance is set to take place at the end of the Summer term. Term dates Children's Performance Project runs every week, 11.30am - 1pm, from 21 Apr to 14 Jul, excluding 26 May and 9 Jun. What is Sunday Shed? Sunday Shed is the perfect way to get involved with Chickenshed for the first time. There are drop-in workshops and performance projects held every Sunday!

You're welcome to simply turn up and participate each week, but please note that spots are limited, making early booking strongly advised. By engaging in this project, you'll culminate in a live performance at Chickenshed featuring lights, music, and costumes at the end of the Summer term. No previous experience is necessary. Engaging and imaginative weekly drop-in workshops tailored for ages 5-7. Every workshop is crafted as an independent session, with a unique theme featuring components of drama, dance, music, and art. These workshops are structured to allow children to effortlessly participate, revel in the experience, and ignite their creativity while delving into the world of theatre. So why not gather a group of friends to enjoy the wonderful sounds of Jo backed by her in-house band? Timings Doors and bar open at 7pm. Music starts at 8pm and ends at approximately 10.45/11pm. Tales from the Shed - Summer Season Every carefully planned show incorporates educational songs, movement and language games, which help promote brain development and early learning in young children. Every show is different, with a new theme incorporated into the show each week. Having worked in partnership with early years experts over three decades, our diverse team presents educational stories featuring our much-loved characters - from Can-Can the beautiful Bird to laid-back Lion Down and The Thing That Goes Blurgh! They are informal, lively and amazingly engaging as the performers and audience share the same space. Age Restriction Tales from the Shed is for children from 0-6 years only. With the exception of older siblings, no children over the age of 6 will be admitted. Seating Seating is mostly on mats on the floor so that children and performers can freely move around the space. Scummy Mummies at Chickenshed Join Ellie and Helen as they celebrate ten years of scumminess! For a decade now, the Scummy Mummies have been touring their hit comedy show to sold-out audiences around the country. Now they’re bringing all their most-loved songs, sketches, and stand-up together for a night that will make you laugh till you wee. Guaranteed to make you feel normal about your parenting skills, or very smug about being child-free. Prosecco freely available at the bar, pop a panty liner in, and let’s party!

Summer Shed is for anyone between the ages 5 - 11 in school years 1 - 6, and is delivered by Chickenshed's highly experienced and energetic performers! It runs from Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 3.30pm on the weeks of 29th July and 5th August. What is Summer Shed? Beginning on Monday morning children will be part of a group that will together come up with ideas, learn songs and make up dances, all in time for a special event for family and friends on the Friday afternoon! Summer Shed runs all week, Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Children will need to bring a packed lunch and any snacks required for the day. Different weeks Summer Shed is running over two separate weeks - week beginning 29 July and week beginning 5 August. Each week is different so you can book onto one or both weeks. Pricing Bookings are for the whole week. It is not possible to book for individual days.

A summer theatre project for 11-17 year olds who are interested in sharing and developing a passion for writing, performance, movement and music. Participants will be guided by Chickenshed’s Youth Theatre Directors and our current Youth Theatre members in devising, writing, choreographing and composing their own pieces of theatre throughout the week, in a fun and supportive environment. Days and Times Summer Scratch runs all week, Monday to Friday, 11am to 5pm. Participants will need to bring a packed lunch and any snacks required for the day. Pricing Bookings are for the whole week. It is not possible to book for individual days.
