They’ll also tackle a different hands-on STEM project each day too, such as constructing circuits, building and coding robots, and coding Micro:bits! At our Coding and Minecraft camp this December, your kids will spend the morning creating cool winter-themed coding projects in either Scratch, CoSpace or p5.js. In the afternoon, they’ll learn about logic gates and Boolean algebra before applying what they have learnt in a series of creative builds in Minecraft! On Day 1, campers dive into the basics of logic gates like NOT, OR, and AND, powering a redstone rocket launch. Day 2 introduces more complex gates, NAND and NOR, to build a functional lighthouse. On Day 3, they’ll tackle XOR and XNOR gates to construct a working lift, sharpening problem-solving skills. Day 4 focuses on creating a clock pulsar, a key redstone component, as they start an epic obstacle course. By Day 5, it’s all hands on deck as campers finish and test their obstacle courses, ready to showcase their redstone-powered creations! NEED TO KNOWS • Children must bring their own laptops with Minecraft Java Edition downloaded and working - laptops will not be provided by Cypher. • Camps run Monday-Friday, from 10:00-16:00, with early drop-off from 9:30am. • We accept Childcare Vouchers! • Kids taking part in this camp with spend the morning coding in Scratch , CoSpaces or p5.js, and the afternoon getting creative on Minecraft! • Students will be introduced to coding languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Scratch and CoBlocks • Camps suitable for children aged between 7 and 12 years old.

At our ‘Winter Wonderland’ Coding Camp, your child will be immersed in hands-on robotics, coding, arts and crafts, and so much more, all while making new friends and getting into the festive spirits! It’s the time of year for festive fun! Our December Winter Wonderland-themed holiday camps are the perfect way to fill your child’s days with holiday cheer. Filled with fun and engaging activities, they’ll have plenty to keep them entertained – and along the way, they will learn key 21st-century skills. Our teachers are all enhanced DBS checked, experienced, and passionate about working with children. Plus, they have all undergone extensive Cypher training to ensure they can best support your child’s coding experience. Our Winter Wonderland coding camp will inspire children aged 5-12 to explore their creativity, develop essential skills for their future and cultivate a passion for the world of technology! From winter animals and the natural world to the fantastical winter season elements, coders will be immersed in the holiday spirit with our engaging coding projects! Students will have loads of opportunities to code winter-themed illustrations, animations and games on Scratch, CoSpaces and p5.js (JavaScript). As well as coding using Scratch, CoSpaces and p5.js platforms, kids will also have the opportunity to get hands-on with technology and computer science by coding robots to complete specific tasks!
