Explore the Super Natural this half-term. Our half-term activities are FREE and included with admission to the centre. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis each day.
Discover activities that show just how super wetland nature can be.
Weave a willow wand, head off on a fungi hunt, craft a clay familiar and much more in a week of wetlands magic.
Begin your adventure at the Super Natural Hub, where you can uncover your unique super wetland name and craft a nature-inspired headband to set the tone for your day of exploration.
With a scavenger hunt card in hand, embark on a journey through the wetlands, revealing its hidden wonders—from vibrant fungi to the breathtaking hues of nature.
Continue your journey with a range of exciting hands-on activities and experience the magic of the wetlands!
Potion Making Workshop
Tap into the magic of wetlands by brewing your own nature potions using local plants.
Time: 11.30am (duration 45 min)

Clay Modelling
Bring the wetlands to life by sculpting your own clay creature. Will it be inspired by the animals you've seen today or an entirely new creation from your imagination?
Time: 2.30pm (duration 45 min)

Land Art Station
Celebrate the beauty of wetlands by creating a temporary art piece using leaves, sticks, and rocks. Share your creation online and tag @wwtlondon!

Dress up as your favourite magical character and explore our wetland reserve this October half-term for a chance to win two family tickets to WWT London!
Learn all about wetland nature and wildlife with a little help from Bing and his friends.
Join Bing and Flop to become a Nature Explorer with activity trails, storytelling and much more.
New experiences around every corner:
Activity trails – Follow Bing’s Nature Explorers trail to discover fun-filled challenges and amazing wildlife facts. Be sure to pick up a map at the start and collect your sticker once you’ve completed the trail.
Storytelling – Enjoy a Bing story with an interactive storytelling session. Every weekend, and daily throughout the May bank holiday and half-term. Please see the what’s on board for activity times.
Gifts and toys – Want to take the fun home with you? Visit our shop for a range of Bing gifts and toys.

As well as all of our exciting Bing activities, you can also enjoy:
• Pond Dipping - daily sessions 11am to 12pm and 2pm to 3pm
• Otter Talks - daily at 11am and 2pm
• Mud Kitchen - get stuck in! Open all day.
• Adventure Playground - bounce, slide and swing into action!
• Wild Walk - a maze of balance beams and robe bridges through the reedbed
Cost: All activities are included in your admission ticket or free for WWT members.
Can you quack the clues this Easter?
Join us for a family day out of exploration and discovery that will put all of your senses to the test
To succeed as a Duck Detective and complete the Easter trail, you’ll need to get closer than ever to nature.
It’s time to investigate underwater mysteries, follow tracks to work out who’s been creeping around at night and use everything from bird calls to animal poo (honestly!) to reveal wildlife secrets only a true Duck Detective knows

You can also enjoy these other activities over the Easter holidays all included in the admission price:
- Colour Hunt trail card: perfect s for under 5s. Search for different colours springing up around the wetlands.
- Pond dipping – 11.00 and 14.00 drop-in session. Investigate the creatures that live under the water. Who are the usual suspects? Snails, beetles maybe even a newt? Suitable for all ages
- Plant detectives – 13.00 (duration 30min), Use your sleuthing skills to learn how to identify five plants from only their leaves! Suitable for all ages.
- Special for the Easter weekend: From 7 to 10 April at 12 noon.
Our reserve team will be feeding our lovely Greyface Dartmoor sheep.
