Every year the Mother Nature Science Activity Camp inspires thousands of budding scientists, during all school Holidays and even the half-term breaks at premium Partner School Venues. Partnering with London’s leading schools and private venues, as a response to the Government’s call for helping children catch up for lost time due to Covid-19, we have made it our mission to help all pupils immediately start to catch-up on STEM enrichment this school holidays. Our children’s science activities are certified ‘We’re Good to Go’ COVID-Safe and fully Risk Assessed. At Mother Nature Science, your child’s safety is our number one priority. We have children travelling to the UK from all over the World every year to join our award-winning Science Activity Holiday Camps. Our classes are currently limited to 20 children per class, and we run a tried-and-tested ‘mixed age dynamic’ of ages 5-12. There is a ratio of 2x DBS checked, trained instructors to each class of 20, who will focus with the younger children on the making and key scientific concepts, while challenging the older children with more advanced science and giving them more responsibility. Camps run for 5 or 4 days a week (excluding UK bank holidays), Mon-Fri and we have 4 indoor ‘classroom science sessions’ and 3 outdoor ‘activity play-breaks’ per day, where the children mix, play and bond socially together. It is the perfect balance of learning, fun and activity – hence why we appropriately name it a ‘Science Activity Holiday Camp’. At the end of 3-days per week, we have a special themed ‘Fun Zone’ where the younger children get to finish off any experiments they haven’t completed and we have a challenging quiz and problem solving activities for the older or more able children. So that we manage your expectations correctly, our camps are primarily about having fun with safe, enriching, hands-on science activities, making friends, and working together in teams, although of course they each do their own individual take-home experiments. For this reason, no child is ever left on their own and even shy children love our camps (this is a common concern for parents of younger and even older children). International children are welcome and just need to have a basic grasp of English. All programmes are appropriate for children ages 5-12 and no week or day is better than any other. The Science spans across Chemistry, Biology and Physics, with a strong ‘craft’ element so that children can see science all around them i.e. in simple objects that they can relate to – challenging the popular preconception that Science is purely about lotions and potions (Chemistry), although as stated we have lots of that too. All programmes are appropriate for ages 5-12.
