The Royal Albert Hall is the world’s most famous stage. Throughout its 150-year history, it has welcomed a who’s who of world-renowned figures: artists, athletes and activists. No other place on earth has played host to Winston Churchill, Albert Einstein and Muhammad Ali; Ella Fitzgerald, The Beatles and Adele. Christmas at the Royal Albert Hall is set to return at full capacity after two years, with nearly 40 shows over 24 days as part of the venue’s 150th anniversary celebrations.

About Classical for Kids - Opulent Oboes

Introducing little ears to the world of classical music, Classical for Kids offers the opportunity for families to attend a chamber concert performed by professional musicians from the Hall’s very own Albert’s Band.

Each concert features carefully selected proper classical repertoire but presented in a relaxed environment for children to express themselves, with no expectation to stay still or be quiet.

This concert is recommended for ages 4-11 but babies and budding musicians of all ages are welcome!

Opulent Oboes:

This concert will feature not one, but two of the Albert’s Band Oboe section!

Join Louise Hayter (Oboe) and Maxwell Spires (Oboe & Cor Anglais) as they introduce you to some lesser known composers including Khachaturian, Bozza and Dorati as well as some popular opera arias by Mozart and a famous tune or two by Mr. Traditional himself!
