A fun, active start that helps little ones grow in confidence.

ANTS is designed for confident walkers up to around 3 years old and is the perfect introduction to the RUGGERBUGS journey.

Through colourful equipment, imaginative games and rugby-inspired activities, your child will enjoy running, jumping, catching, throwing and exploring movement while developing balance, coordination, confidence and body awareness.

Grown-ups join in too, providing encouragement and reassurance while enjoying valuable time together.

Alongside physical development, we gently introduce early Skills4Life such as listening, communication, sharing and taking turns.

There is no pressure, no competition and no rugby experience needed. Every child is encouraged to join in at their own pace and have lots of FUN.

Start with our 4-week introduction for £35 and give your little one time to settle in, get to know their coach and discover what RUGGERBUGS is all about.

RUGGERBUGS ANTS

Would you love to see your child happy, active, growing in confidence and looking forward to their activity every week?

That’s what RUGGERBUGS is all about.

Established in 2007, RUGGERBUGS is a family-run children’s development programme inspired by fun, non-contact rugby, designed for little ones from confident walking through to around 6 years.

Through colourful equipment, imaginative games and age-appropriate activities, children run, jump, catch, throw, kick and score while developing important physical skills including balance, coordination, agility and body awareness.

But RUGGERBUGS is about much more than rugby.

Week by week, we gently encourage important Skills4Life including confidence, independence, listening, communication, taking turns, decision-making, friendships and teamwork.

Younger children take part alongside their grown-up. As they grow and progress through RUGGERBUGS, they are gradually encouraged to become more independent, confident and comfortable taking part as part of a group.

There is no pressure, no competition and no previous rugby experience needed. Every child develops differently, so our friendly coaches encourage children to participate at their own pace, celebrate what they can do and, most importantly, have lots of FUN.

Whether your child eventually chooses rugby, another sport or simply develops a lifelong love of being active, our aim is to give them a positive start they can carry with them.

More than rugby — it’s life skills through play.

Give your child a HEAD START with RUGGERBUGS.
