About Get to Know Your Sewing Machine
Get to Know & Love Your Sewing MachineDo you have a sewing machine that spends more time in the cupboard or in its box than it does
on your sewing table?
Here’s an opportunity to get to know your sewing machine and what it can do for you!
Join this course to learn how to thread your machine correctly, how to sew a straight
seam and a curved one, the functions of the stitches and make yourself a tote bag and a pair of
pyjama trousers.
Just bring yourself, your machine, a paper copy of the machine’s manual and a
basic sewing kit.
Participants will also need to bring 0.5 metres of cotton fabric, matching thread and 1.5 metres of cotton webbing to the first lesson to make the tote bag.
This course is suitable for beginners and those that haven’t sewn in a while and would like to refresh their skills.
