About Summer In The Forest
Learners will create and grow an imaginary forest themed artwork using recycled card, collage, drawing, painting, natural elements and mixed media.They will draw from leaves and branches to create elements for the forest, and will make a woodland themed memory or story box.
They may use paint, drawing, collaged pictures, leaf printing and recycled boxes.
They will construct characters that live in the forest and may choose to become a character in a forest story, creating with collaged papers, fabrics, drawing, paint and lolly sticks.
They will make a nature sketchbook journal using collage and drawing, inspired by the artist Lubaina Himid.
