Awesome Birthday Parties at The Little Gym gives your birthday child and their friends the full run of the facility, filling the celebration with instructor-led games, music and fun activities created especially for your birthday boy or girl. And you don't have to worry about setup or clean up, making it totally awesome for you too! Our birthday themes at The Little Gym are Superheroes, Pirates, Mermaids, Unicorns, Dinosaurs or The Little Gym Classic. We will decorate the party room to the theme you choose and turn the theme into an adventure inside the gym. We provide: - Exclusive use of The Little Gym facilities - The Little Gym E-vites - Two qualified instructors for the party - Set up and clean up - Cups, plates, drinks for children (juice/water) - I-pod dock in party room for any music you wish to bring You provide: - The food - Party Bags - The birthday cake We can offer a catered option through Feeding Time Parties, Party food boxes are priced at £4.95 per child. Children in this age group are on the move: quicker, stronger and faster. They’re ready to learn more complex movements in the “vertical world”: introductory sports skills, locomotor skills with perceptual challenges, jumping off raised platforms onto their feet, creative movement challenges, and beginning tumbling skills. These toddlers also begin to develop a greater understanding of “self ” and experience feelings of pride, confidence, embarrassment, and independence. They are also becoming great users of language, speaking and understanding more clearly. There are no prerequisite skills for this class, so the skill range may vary greatly. Children in this age range are still highly motivated by fun and love to play and pretend. While they are interested in learning gymnastics, they are still developing confidence in their skills and need opportunities in which they can experience success. • To accommodate the variations in skill level, instructors are trained to provide individualised instruction so that every child is challenged and successful. • Challenging gymnastics skills are introduced, reviewed and mastered to build body strength, ability, coordination, and confidence. • Playful, fun-based themes are periodically implemented

During this class the children will be taking part in: - Socialisation activities teach children how to function in a group, listen and follow directions, communicate with others, share, and take turns. - Activities focused on emotional development build comfort in a group (without the parent), encourage risk taking and help children deal with success and failure. - “Circuit” format ensures continual movement and minimizes waiting. The average 5-6 year old is very comfortable and confident in a structured class setting. At this age, the social aspect takes on a more important role as they become increasingly aware of each other and begin to compare themselves to and motivate their peers. This results in very “coachable” children who are able to follow complex directions, understand detailed and technical instruction and possess a noticeable eagerness to learn. From infant to toddler, our classes promote early development and provide a strong foundation for your childʼs critical first three years. And since you’re along for the ride, you’ll be right there to celebrate every discovery with smiles, hugs and giggles. This Pre-Bugs class is suitable for babies ages 10-15 weeks.

At this age, the average infant has an awareness of their environment: noises, music, people, etc. Their brain is developing at an extremely fast rate, taking in and processing massive amounts of information. Children at this age first learn how to roll from the back to tummy and begin pushing their chest from the ground (4 -6 months), try to crawl (7 -9 months), and enter the pre- walking phase (10- 12 months). Children placed in this class have attained a particular skill level, so the instruction can be geared to a tighter skill level range. In this environment, skill growth happens quickly. Having achieved a higher degree of gymnastics skills, the children also have a higher degree of confidence and a more focused attitude towards gymnastics • Conditioning exercises are incorporated into the warm-up activities and gymnastics stations to build strength and prepare for more physically demanding skills. • The approach to instruction focuses on the effort while children are able to experience success and are not afraid to make mistakes which positively affects self-confidence, self-image and self-esteem. • To accommodate the children’s enhanced desire to learn, activities are “stepped up a notch” in terms of their gymnastics and conditioning intensity.

Children in this age group are now displaying marked growth in their social, emotional and physical self-confidence and self-esteem. They are able to handle more complex directions and have noticeably longer attention spans. Physically, they have mastered most all of the basic locomotor movements, including skipping. Because of their movement experience, they are noticeably stronger, more agile, more coordinated, and have a broad base of gymnastics skills. This sets the stage for considerable skill growth in gymnastics - Tumbling skills, preceded by locomotor movements, are introduced and mastered (galloping, cartwheels, run, jump, forward roll, etc.). - Multiple skills are taught simultaneously, reinforcing the children’s ability to handle more complex directions. - More challenging gymnastics skills help children become stronger, more agile, more coordinated, and more self-confident. This is a playful, fun based class teaching the fundamentals. Challenging gymnastics skills are introduced, reviewed and mastered to build body strength, agility, coordination and confidence.
