A bewitching afternoon tea experience where you use working magic wands to brew interactive teas and taste fantastical treats. It’s a feast for all the senses! Wizard Afternoon Tea® at The Wands & Wizard Exploratorium® is an interactive tea-brewing experience where you step into the imagined worlds of your childhood through the subtle science of tea brewing, molecular gastronomy, and technology. Spell Casting: After selecting your magic wand, you are led to an interactive work station where you cast spells with your wand to control your tea stand and open your locked puzzle chest, which contains your ingredients. Tea Brewing: During your time with us you will brew two different types of interactive teas, the first of which focuses on transfiguration and second of which has been designed to encourage experimentation and iteration for finding the perfect blend for your palette. You can expect to be hands-on with your tea and use all of your senses. Confectionary Delights: Your Wizard Afternoon Tea® Experience includes a scone and a carefully curated selection of “sand-witches,” and desserts. These may be items you've never tried or even heard of before, and we've baked molecular gastronomy into this other-worldy tea experience! WIZARD AFTERNOON TEA® TICKETS INCLUDE: 1. magic wand and equipment rental, 2. two interactive teas that you brew, 3. scone and a curated selection of “sand-witches,” and desserts, and 4. the 1hr 45min interactive experience. WHAT ELSE TO KNOW Everyone attending must have a ticket for entry. The venue is not accessible by wheelchairs as it is set across 3 floors. The Wizard Afternoon Tea is largely self-guided, but a potion’s master is on-hand to make sure that you don't turn yourself into a frog! Please note that our cakes and desserts routinely change and so might not be the ones you see in the photos! Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten-free versions of Wizard Afternoon Tea are available, and must be requested in advance and at the time of booking, as additional preparation is needed. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO CATER TO NUT ALLERGIES. As our menus are pre-set and pre-ordered, we are unable to alter any menu items for personal preferences or dietary requirements outside of defined menus. We are not able to offer a mixture of menus (i.e. Gluten Free Vegetarian). Unfortunately, these requests will not be accommodated.

Choose your Magic Wand and practise spell-casting in this small-group, 4D retail experience. Enter the Wandmaker’s Workshop! The Magic Wand Experience at the Wands & Wizard Exploratorium® is a BRAND NEW interactive retail experience unlike any other in existence. Step into the imagined worlds from your childhood and choose your own working, magic wand and bring it to life through the magic of science. Select your medallion that will determine your wand’s magic: Which type of magic will your magic wand harness? Are you a Dark Magic mage, Light Magic wizard, or an Earth Magic sprite? You will make your initial selection when you check in at our ground floor ticketing desk. Enter the Wandmaker’s Workshop: At the time of your booking you will be led up the many floors of our hundreds-year-old pink townhouse to the Wandmaker’s Workshop in the attic of the Wands & Wizard Exploratorium. Here your class will begin under the tutelage of our master Wandmaker. Learn about the history of our magical society before as you prepare to select your magic wand. Choose your wand design: Your magic wand should be unique to you, and so you will select your wand style from the selection of wands. Which will you choose? Once selected, the Wandmaker will guide you through using your wand through initial spell-casting in preparation for advanced magic! MAGIC WAND MAKING TICKETS INCLUDE: • Complete non-illuminated magic wand per ticket, • The 20 min interactive experience. Please note that a ticket holder may have an assistant of their choice accompany them during their wandmaking experience with no extra charge (so you only need to purchase one ticket at checkout!). The assistant will not receive their own magic wand to make or take home, but is there for moral support in this ever-important moment in a magician’s life. WHAT ELSE TO KNOW Additional drinks can be purchased online before your visit for a discounted rate or while in the venue at full-price. This experience takes place in an enclosed space with flashing and low lighting levels, wind, smoke, and (at times) loud sounds. The Magic Wand Experience is led by a Wandmaker and each maker/assistant is located at their own standing desk.
