Tales from the Shed - Summer Season Every carefully planned show incorporates educational songs, movement and language games, which help promote brain development and early learning in young children. Every show is different, with a new theme incorporated into the show each week. Having worked in partnership with early years experts over three decades, our diverse team presents educational stories featuring our much-loved characters - from Can-Can the beautiful Bird to laid-back Lion Down and The Thing That Goes Blurgh! What is Tales from the Shed? Tales from the Shed are vibrant, inclusive theatre shows that are perfect for young children. They are informal, lively and amazingly engaging as the performers and audience share the same space. Age Restriction Tales from the Shed is for children from 0-6 years only. With the exception of older siblings, no children over the age of 6 will be admitted. Seating Seating is mostly on mats on the floor so that children and performers can freely move around the space. Chairs are available for anyone who would prefer not to sit on the floor. Pricing You will need to purchase a ticket for everyone from the age of 6 months. If you are bringing a child under 6 months they are free of charge and you do not need to get them a ticket.

This class is for children who have attained a high degree of skill and are up for a challenge to take their gymnastics to the next level. Conditioning and strength activities are incorporated, many of which require group cooperation and teamwork. During this class your child will follow on the following skills: Tumbling: - Backwards roll to handstand - Back tuck somersault - Forward walkover - Straddle lever to handstand - Handstand 360 degree pirouette Beam: - Backwards walkover on the high beam - Handstand to forward roll on the high beam - Jump and leap combinations Bar: - Stride circles - Glide kip mount - Cast to handstand A fun class for children aged 6-12 Year Olds. A LADYBIRDS CLASS (3-4yrs) covering motor skill development. During the session trained coaches will follow the RUGGERBUGS programme ensuring that your child participates in age-appropriate activities. For children aged 3.5 years onwards the basics of Tag Rugby and core values of rugby are gently introduced with the emphasis of FUN still very much at the heart of the session. RUGGERBUGS understands the importance of learning through repetition, so the activities and equipment have been specifically designed to support this learning process and build self-esteem. Important “skills4life” are gently introduced to begin developing your child’s language, communication, listening skills and building self-esteem. The session also allows for your child to start interacting with other children of the same age. Trained coaches are on hand to explain, encourage and support with the activities. At the end of each session your Child will receive a weekly Sidney Sticker to collect and stick on their Sidney Sticker Chart. As class numbers grow the sessions will be divided into relevant age group sessions and times. As your child progress through the RUGGERBUGS “Head Start” Programme they will achieve “SIDNEY SKILL AWARDS” in line with the programme structure and criteria. These will be assessed and monitored at the end of each term and allow a smooth transition into the next class when your child is ready.

Little Rackets & Friends Multi-Sports camps are specially designed to create a fun environment for children aged 3-7, of all abilities to learn Tennis, Rugby and Football! The children are split into smaller groups based on their ages (3-4 & 5-7 yrs). We host a range of tennis, rugby and football driven activities; using specialised equipment to help develop children's gross motor skills and hand eye coordination, alongside extending children’s confidence and concentration. What to expect: Tennis, Football and Rugby driven games, team building, confidence boosting, skills and technique development and more!

Our games are fast-paced and increasingly football focused, with fun still at the heart, meaning that even new starters easily pick them up. Children begin to understand the importance of team play and matches are gradually introduced. Mighty Kickers classes incorporate our rounded learning approach of play, practice and understanding. Play is the motivator and promotes continued and repeated practice. This disguised learning in itself is a powerful tool, however we believe in not only teaching the children how to perform the skills, but also to understand why and where to use the skill in the real world. This transcends all six areas of our curriculum: - Personal, social & emotional development, - Communication, language & literacy, - Mathematical development, - Knowledge & understanding of the World, - Physical development, - Creative development. Mighty Kickers teaches the fundamentals of football in a fun learning environment through a series of games using our tried and tested structure. Our Mighty Kickers receive quarterly badges which highlight the key physical, cognitive and football skills they are exposed to in our programme. Our Little Kickers absolutely love showing their badges to their teammates and family!

Inspired by How to Catch a Star and along with Polka’s expert drama and science practitioners, you will not only be able to make a space rocket, you will understand how rockets work and see them shoot off into our sensory space sky up into the magical starry atmosphere.

This specially designed Tap & Jazz class is the perfect introduction to Ballet and has been created by Dakoda’s Dance Academy for both Boys & Girls. Tap dance is a type of dance that uses metal plates on the Heel and the toe to create a ‘percussion’ sound. There are many variations of tap but we prefer to teach ‘ Broadway Tap’ which also uses classic 80s and 90s tracks to give a classic Hip Hop vibe. Whether your child is a beginner or a little more advanced, our Street Dance classes are tailored to accommodate and are taught by out friendly, professional dance instructors. This Tap and Jazz class is suitable for children aged 7-12 years old.

Budding actors can spend a week training and working with a professional Theatre Director to explore a variety of drama techniques, learn new skills and create a new piece of theatre that will be performed for family and friends!

Musical Theatre is a fantastic fun form of theatrical performance that kids love. All the dancing, singing and acting students have learnt in individual classes are fused together and emphasis is placed on confident performing and style. Exerts from different musicals e.g. Wicked, Mary Poppins, Billy Elliott etc are selected each term and students then have the chance to show off these skills in our biennial Theatre productions. This musical theatre class is suitable for children aged 12+ years old.
