The Afonso School of Performing Arts is a young and exciting school for dance and theatre arts, best known for having a true family and community spirit. We aim to create a fun, yet disciplined environment in which our students can develop skills in dance, acting and singing. Our vision is to offer the highest standard of training possible to children from as young as 2 years. Our team aim to use their combined experience, both as teachers and industry professionals, to help produce exciting and inspiring lessons where the children will learn skills for life.

About Grade 5 Ballet

 Ballet is a core dance subject.

It develops technique and establishes the basic elements for all styles of dance.

We recommend every child attends ballet classes if they wish to develop good technique, which can be carried on to other subjects.

We follow the IDTA syllabus, and enter our pupils for examinations once they are ready.
