About

Every Week we learn, try and experiment: • Explore & Discuss – Fun Q&As around the weekly topic. • Create with Art – Express ideas through drawing and making. • Learn a Tool – practice in a safe environment with adapted tools and protection. • Fix Something – Try repairing items with different tools and materials. These sessions build fine motor skills, grow confidence with tools, and inspire children to think creatively about repair — helping them reconnect with the things they own. Monday 15th September: Let's talk Rubbish! Discover what happens to our waste, how recycling works, and why rubbish isn’t always the end of the story. Monday 22nd & 29th September: We will be looking at how trees are a wonderful source of inspiration. We will be working with wood, wonderful materiel when sustainably sourced, using tools to drill, hammer and screw. About Little Fixers Fix It Collective CIC is a South London-based community initiative championing a hands-on, hopeful approach to sustainability. We focus on repair, reuse, circular living, and skill-sharing. We're creating spaces where people can connect, learn, and take climate-positive action through everyday objects and materials. We believe that everyone, regardless of income, background, or skill level, deserves access to the knowledge, tools, and confidence to repair and reuse. Our mission is to empower communities to reduce waste, extend the life of their belongings, and challenge the throwaway culture through creative, practical action. Through workshops, events, community partnerships and education, we support people of all ages in developing DIY and repair skills, exploring sustainable materials, and imagining alternatives to overconsumption. We also advocate for the Right to Repair and work alongside local and national movements driving change at policy and grassroots levels. Fix It Collective is working towards opening a welcoming third space: a permanent community hub where neighbours of all generations can meet, fix, learn, play, and build a culture of sustainability together. About Little Fixers is our playful, hands-on programme for families with children under 5. Through themed Stay & Play sessions and creative workshops, we introduce little ones to early repair skills, tool-handling, and nature-based STEM play. Parents and caregivers can also join in with sessions on upcycling, babywear repair and sustainable living. We hope to spark a love of making and mending from the very start.
