The thrill, the immediacy, the unmistakable energy between audience and performer.
From the electrifying rehearsals and backstage camaraderie to the pre-performance buzz and grand opening of the doors, we love what we do. And so do our audiences.
Owned by theatrical visionary Andrew Lloyd Webber – who has created some of the world’s most popular and timeless musical productions – we know a thing or two about staging the spectacular.
Since we started up back in 1977, our passion and pride for what we do has seen us become the largest operator of musical theatres in London.
With one in three audience members at a London musical walking through the doors of our West End theatres, chances are, if you’ve seen a musical in the capital, you’ve been to visit us.
We’re continually looking for ways to innovate, experiment and improve. To make every customer experience truly extraordinary.
That’s why, in July 2018, we officially rebranded from The Really Useful Theatres to LW Theatres, improving the look of our website while finding new ways to step up our service.
We want you to enjoy every second with us, from the moment you book your ticket to the moment you leave our theatres.
Whether you’re coming to see long-running classics like The Phantom of the Opera or the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Matilda The Musical, Disney’s spectacular Frozen The Musical, the Olivier Award winning Back to the Future: The Musical, or the Olivier Award-winning musical Standing at the Sky’s Edge, LW Theatres is the official place to buy your tickets.
We guarantee the best possible seats and unbeatable availability when you come to one of our productions, making LW Theatres your first and only port of call when it comes to seeing that special show you’ve had your eye on.
In our diverse family of iconic and historic theatres, each has its own distinctive personality and incredible headline events, but every one is united by a tireless determination to go above and beyond, onstage and off.
Whether you’re at Theatre Royal Drury Lane or The London Palladium; the Cambridge Theatre or the Adelphi Theatre (co-owned with the Nederlander Group); the Gillian Lynne Theatre or His Majesty’s Theatre, you’ll find that every experience you enjoy with LW Theatres is so much more than simply a show.

Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, 3 Fulton Road, Wembley Park, London, HA9 0SP
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express opens summer 2024 in the specially designed Starlight Auditorium at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre.
Audiences will be immersed inside a world of speed, song and storytelling as an incredible cast of 40 whizz around and above, performing some of musical theatre’s most beloved songs, including AC/DC, Make Up My Heart, Light at the End of the Tunnel and the iconic Starlight Express.
As a child’s train set magically comes to life and the engines race to become the fastest in the world, Rusty the steam train has little hope of winning until he is inspired by the legend of the ‘Starlight Express’.
Seen around the world by over 20 million people, Starlight Express is an electrifying experience for all ages.
With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Richard Stilgoe, the creative team is helmed by acclaimed director Luke Sheppard (&Juliet, The Little Big Things), set designer Tim Hatley (Back to the Future), video designer Andrzej Goulding (Life of Pi), costume designer Gabriella Slade (Six), lighting designer Howard Hudson (&Juliet) and sound designer Gareth Owen (MJ the Musical) with new orchestrations and musical supervision by Matthew Brind.
With thrilling new choreography by Ashley Nottingham (Pacific Overtures) and casting by Pearson Casting CDG, Starlight Express also sees the return of Arlene Phillips as creative dramaturg.
Starlight Express arrives at the Starlight Auditorium in June 2024.
