Van Gogh painted in an impasto style, using lots of chunky, bright paint applied thickly to the canvas. In this workshop we explore the work of the famous Dutch painter, inspired by the Sunflowers masterpiece, we create our version, raising the surface and get really heavy with the paint, experimenting with colour and texture. We use lots of different mediums such as pastels and oil pastel to make our art. Make a clay tile and decorate a window suncatcher too. We find out all about this amazing artist.
