Growing confidence, growing independence and lots of FUN.

LADYBIRDS helps children take the next step in their RUGGERBUGS journey as they begin doing more for themselves.

Through imaginative rugby-inspired games, children run, jump, catch, throw and score while developing coordination, balance, confidence and body awareness.

Week by week, we also encourage important Skills4Life such as listening, communicating, following instructions, taking turns and working alongside other children.

Grown-ups can still support when needed, but children are gradually encouraged to join in more independently and become comfortable taking part as part of the group.

There is no pressure, no competition and no previous rugby experience needed.

Start with our 4-week introduction for £35 and give your child time to settle in, build confidence and discover whether RUGGERBUGS becomes the activity they look forward to each week.

RUGGERBUGS LADYBIRDS

Would you love to see your child happy, active, growing in confidence and looking forward to their activity every week?

That’s what RUGGERBUGS is all about.

Established in 2007, RUGGERBUGS is a family-run children’s development programme inspired by fun, non-contact rugby, designed for little ones from confident walking through to around 6 years.

Through colourful equipment, imaginative games and age-appropriate activities, children run, jump, catch, throw, kick and score while developing important physical skills including balance, coordination, agility and body awareness.

But RUGGERBUGS is about much more than rugby.

Week by week, we gently encourage important Skills4Life including confidence, independence, listening, communication, taking turns, decision-making, friendships and teamwork.

Younger children take part alongside their grown-up. As they grow and progress through RUGGERBUGS, they are gradually encouraged to become more independent, confident and comfortable taking part as part of a group.

There is no pressure, no competition and no previous rugby experience needed. Every child develops differently, so our friendly coaches encourage children to participate at their own pace, celebrate what they can do and, most importantly, have lots of FUN.

Whether your child eventually chooses rugby, another sport or simply develops a lifelong love of being active, our aim is to give them a positive start they can carry with them.

More than rugby — it’s life skills through play.

Give your child a HEAD START with RUGGERBUGS.
