About Play Studio

Strike a pose and see yourself and others differently in our space for families

Dress-up, move and play with different ways of expressing yourself through performance, music and making in our creative learning space for children, young people and families.

Inspired by the ways artists portray themselves and others, Play Studio: POSE by Harold Offeh invites you to react to artwork at Tate Britain in your own way, while discovering something new about yourself in the process.

Listen to the playlist put together by Studio Offeh, inspired by Grace, Alvaro Barrington Duveens' commission and other artworks from the Tate Britain collection displays.

The Play Studio programme is curated by Jean Tormey and Katherine Eves from Tate’s Early Years and Families’ team, and is facilitated by Tate’s Family Engagement Assistants. Graphics by Alessia Arcuri.

Play Studio: Pose has been devised by Harold Offeh, assisted by artist Tara White.

Offeh is an artist working in a range of media including performance, video, photography, learning and social arts practice.

He is interested in what might be learnt from role-play and reenactments of histories.

He employs humour as a means to confront the viewer with historical narratives and contemporary culture.

Every weekend and Fridays during term-time. Every day during school holidays.
