Makeup Bag Workshop

Design and make your own makeup or skincare bag, perfect for sleepovers, travel and everyday use. In this fun and creative two-day teen workshop, students will create a beautifully made, functional bag with a standout personalised design. Participants can choose to decorate their bag using either digital embroidery, hand sewing or appliqué, learning how to place and secure decorative panels for a professional finish. Depending on experience and ability, students will also learn how to construct bag panels, insert a zip, and potentially add a lining. This workshop is ideal for teens who want to develop their sewing skills while creating something stylish and practical they’ll genuinely use. • Beginner-friendly with extension options for more confident sewers • Learn zip insertion and bag construction • Explore digital embroidery or appliqué techniques • Leave with a high-quality, well-made bag By the end of the workshop, students will head home with a durable, stylish makeup bag they’ve designed and made themselves — perfect for gifting or keeping. Please note: Tickets are available to book up until 1 day before the event starts. Bookings cannot be made within 24 hours of the event, as we need time to plan our workshops and confirm our freelance tutors. We kindly ask that you book as far in advance as possible — it really helps us organise everything and ensure there are enough materials for everyone. About The Fashion School The Fashion School was founded in 2012 by Caroline Gration, with the aim to promote a healthy attitude towards fashion and individuality to children, teenagers and adults. Our tutors have at least a BA (Hons) in Fashion or Textiles, are DBS certified, first aid trained, Arts Award advisers and have experience within the industry and/or running their own business. We offer after school and weekend classes for children and teens of all levels, exciting half term and holiday workshops, fashion trips, luxe fashion workshops for grown ups, and creative birthday parties for children. We’re an Arts Award centre! Our tutors are Bronze & Silver Arts Award advisers and teach this nationally recognised GCSE level qualification – ideal for aspiring fashion/textile students who want to create their own brief.
