Our Challenge Awards - Advanced Swimmers are split into three sections Bronze The Bronze Swimming Challenge award tests a number of areas including (but not limited to) the swimmer being able to swim 400 metres using only two strokes and treading water in a vertical position for three minutes. Silver The Silver Swimming Challenge award tests a number of areas including (but not limited to) swimming 100 metres in less than three minutes using any stroke and the ability to swim 800 metres: 400 metres on the front and 400 metres on the back. Gold In brief this award includes swimming 800 metres using three of the following strokes: front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke or butterfly for a minimum distance of 200 metres per stroke. This swim to be completed in 25 minutes.
