Children placed in this class have attained a particular skill level, so the instruction can be geared to a tighter skill level range. In this environment, skill growth happens quickly. Having achieved a higher degree of gymnastics skills, the children also have a higher degree of confidence and a more focused attitude towards gymnastics. • Conditioning exercises are incorporated into the warm-up activities and gymnastics stations to build strength and prepare for more physically demanding skills. • The approach to instruction focuses on the effort while children are able to experience success and are not afraid to make mistakes which positively affects self-confidence, self-image and self-esteem. • To accommodate the children’s enhanced desire to learn, activities are “stepped up a notch” in terms of their gymnastics and conditioning intensity. New Horizons Theatre Company provide their exciting adaptation of William Shakespeare’s joyous comedy. Love’s Labour’s Lost is an ode to young love, and the unpredictability of it all. The King and his friends take an oath to dedicate themselves to a life of study and avoid the company of women for three years. No sooner have they made their idealistic pledge than the Princess of France and her ladies-in-waiting arrive, presenting the men with a severe test of their high-minded resolve. Presented by New Horizons Theatre Company, an inclusive theatre company for young people aged 17 – 35. This event is not part of artsdepot’s programme but is an independent hire. Therefore, some discounts do not apply.

Each day the children will explore different styles of dance with an emphasis on ballet and tap. Children will work on technique, dance routines and choreography, as well as projects designed to encourage creativity when story telling through dance. The participants will work towards final pieces and will be given plenty of time to interact with others and make lasting friendships! Mighty Kickers are confident with boundless energy and this is catered for in the lesson plans. Our games are fast-paced and increasingly football focused, with fun still at the heart, meaning that even new starters easily pick them up. Children begin to understand the importance of team play and matches are gradually introduced. Play is the motivator and promotes continued and repeated practice. This disguised learning in itself is a powerful tool, however we believe in not only teaching the children how to perform the skills, but also to understand why and where to use the skill in the real world. This transcends all six areas of our curriculum: - Personal, social & emotional development, - Communication, language & literacy, - Mathematical development, - Knowledge & understanding of the World, - Physical development, - Creative development. Mighty Kickers teaches the fundamentals of football in a fun learning environment through a series of games using our tried and tested structure. Our Mighty Kickers receive quarterly badges which highlight the key physical, cognitive and football skills they are exposed to in our programme. Catchy sounds and up beat tunes for making Monkey Music! TIME TO SING Music and language have many things in common and Monkey’s action songs have been especially written to support your child's early language development. Colourful props aid visual memory while repeated actions reinforce a feel for the ‘steady beat’. TIME TO MOVE Moving and dancing freely around the room with Monkey encourages your child to express the music that they hear with their whole bodies. Exercising to music forms and strengthens neural bridges that are necessary for later learning. TIME TO PLAY The Monkey Music Band offers your child the opportunity to practise fine motor skills using hand held percussion instruments. Band members need a certain amount of self awareness and self discipline which comes with regular band practice! TIME TO SLEEP Toddlers need active time for exercise and quieter times for calmer activities. Listening is a critical life skill which we nurture with relaxing and soothing music to conclude each Monkey Music class experience. Our Monkey Music Heigh-Ho classes are stage two for toddlers from 12 months.

This is a playful, fun based class teaching the fundamentals. Challenging gymnastics skills are introduced, reviewed and mastered to build body strength, agility, coordination and confidence.
