We offer exceptional training designed to instill a strong sense of commitment and nurture self-confidence in your child. With a legacy of over 1000+ boys and girls who have flourished under our guidance, we have laid a strong foundation for their artistic journey. Our expansive curriculum encompasses ballet, tap, modern, jazz, drama, and singing, hosted i across four venues. We proudly offer a total of 75 regular classes, in addition to personalised tuition and rehearsal sessions. Our success stories speak volumes! Many of our former students have graced the stages of London's prestigious West End. Beyond the spotlight, countless others have embraced these disciplines as hobbies, gaining invaluable life skills along the way.

About Tap & Jazz Dance (Primary and Grade 1) 6+yrs

 This class combines Grade 1 Tap and Grade 2 Modern Dance, offering young dancers an exciting mix of rhythmic tap steps and contemporary dance techniques.

Students will enhance their coordination, musicality, and expressiveness.

We follow the prestigious ISTD Dance syllabus for Tap & Jazz/Modern. Students will develop their rhythm and musicality, coordination, creativity, and expressiveness.

Exams can be taken throughout the year.


About BWA Performing Arts

The Betty Wivell Academy of Performing Arts was established in 1964.

Since then, thousands of students have trained with us. When we started, it was ballet lessons in Miss Wivell’s sitting room. Now we have multiple classes across 3 venues!

We prioritise more than just dance – we are all about building confidence and developing skills. Whether your child has dreams of a career in the arts (as many of our West Ender alumni) or simply wants to explore their passion for dance and theatre, we got it covered.

We take pride in embracing the diversity and unique talents and interests of each student!

From competitions to shows (our most recent production, Seussical, was a success!) every year our students grace the stage with confidence and joy!

For those who wish to elevate their performing skills we also do local productions, and join competitions where our students usually take some medals home!

We also have students who are represented by our partner agencies. Some have landed roles in films, and national marketing campaigns!
