Ding-Dong children are now ready to learn to read music - this is a huge milestone and paves the way for a bright musical future! TIME TO SING Singing comes naturally to Monkey and his oldest friends. Everyone is invited to take the lead in singing games and to sing a solo ‘spot’ (not compulsory!). Familiar songs form the basis for vocal improvisation and encourage children to share story ideas. TIME TO MOVE Playing together and inventing dances is what our Ding-Dongers like to do best! Dance of the ‘Autumn Leaves’ is always a moving highlight of our Ding-Dong year! TIME TO PLAY Learning to read music is an integral element to each class. These clever monkeys use their new reading skills to compose and write their own music which they play with their friends. TIME TO LISTEN Each week the children focus on finding out more about an instrument from the orchestra. As they begin to recognise the different orchestral sounds, the children begin to express their preferences. This is excellent preparation for choosing which instrument to learn to play later on! Our Ding-Dong classes are suitable for Stage four for 3 + 4 year olds.

ORTE Inspire - Musical Discovery Pathway

ORTE Inspire - Musical Discovery Pathway

The ORTE Inspire Program – Discovery Pathway is a 4-day in-person experience in London for young people aged 6–19.
Open to all young people aged 6–19, regardless of instrument, level, or musical experience, including complete beginners, the Discovery Pathway offers a unique opportunity to learn from world-class artists and educators across disciplines. Designed for a new generation growing up in an AI-driven world, the programme explores creativity, communication, reflection, and human connection through interactive workshops, discussions, and guided activities. Rather than focusing solely on performance, participants are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and develop confidence in expressing their own thoughts and perspectives in a supportive international environment. The programme also offers the opportunity to work towards an Arts Award qualification, a nationally recognised UK qualification regulated by Ofqual. What participants can expect:
 • In-person learning with world-class artists and educators
• Interactive workshops, discussions, and reflective activities
 • Cross-disciplinary exploration of creativity and communication
 • A supportive international environment (ages 6–19)
• Structured daily programme in central London
• Opportunities for personal expression and critical thinking Lunch is included each day. The Discovery Pathway is open on a rolling basis, with limited places available. (Performance Pathways are now fully subscribed, and we look forward to welcoming an inspiring cohort of young musicians this summer.
The Discovery Pathway remains open on a rolling basis.) We welcome participants who are curious, open-minded, and eager to engage with new ideas, perspectives, and ways of thinking! Programme highlights include:
 • Listening Beyond Music: Sound & Perception - Inspired by the work of Prof. Eric Clarke, Emeritus Professor of Music, University of Oxford. • Special visits and lectures at Steinway Piano London and other instrument workshops • A “Taste × Sound” sensory workshop in collaboration with a former Michelin three-star head pastry chef
 • Royal Opera House backstage experience
• Special observation of Proms rehearsals at the Royal Albert Hall • Discussions with West End / Broadway musical performers on the theme of "pursuing dreams" • An exploratory listening activity inspired by Prof. Eric Clarke - Professor Emeritus of Oxford University, with students’ reflection papers to be shared with him following the programme. • The multicultural co-creation “Nextone Workshop” at the Royal Academy of Music and more.

Boppin' Bunnies 18m - 4yrs

In our young toddler classes you will find a wide range of activities to stimulate this very active age group! We use counting and movement songs and different instruments to hold the growing attention span of your little ones. This class is more physical as young toddlers benefit greatly from a lot of ‘hands - on’ musical play with their adults! We start to introduce concepts that are developed fully in the pre-school classes, such as listening and responding, counting, colours, getting out & packing away the instruments, and how to bring calm moments to the class using teddies and lullabies. We will encourage you to dance with your little ones, hold their hands, swing them round, lift them up, bounce them around, make them laugh and harness all their raw energy into having fun together! These Boppin' Bunnies classes are suitable for children aged 18 months - 4 years old. Per term = £9/class | Per half term = £10/class | 1st time taster = £8 & Drop-in = £11 both subject to availability. All classes must be booked in advance online via Happity.

Our baby classes are a sensory musical experience, and we stimulate the babies through sound, touch, movement and colour as they sit, crawl, toddle and explore the space. Throughout our baby sessions we focus on the importance of touch and interaction between you and your baby as this connection is a vital part of babies emotional, physical and intellectual development. There is an emphasis on tickling, giggling, singing, making your baby laugh, bonding and lifting the little ones up in the air in time to the music! We look for their eyes widening, their lovely chubby legs kicking with excitement and their eyes following the sounds of the instruments.
