Little Kicks is the perfect introduction to the fun world of Little Kickers and is suitable for children aged 1.5yrs - 2.5yrs old. Each child is given the opportunity to work within their ability level but taught in a group environment. However, some games are specifically targeted at developing independence. These transition games mean children as young as two will be able to play independently of their parent or guardian. FUNdamentals & Badge Certification Little Kicks teaches the fundamentals of football in a fun learning environment through a series of games using our tried and tested structure. Our Little Kicks receive quarterly badges which highlight the key physical, cognitive and football skills they are exposed to in our programme. Our Little Kickers absolutely love showing their badges to their teammates and family! The stages of development below outline our expectations for this age group: Social, Emotional & Cognitive ā¢ Short attention span, erratic participation. ā¢ Needs assistance throughout session. ā¢ At times will be frustrated at lack of comprehension of sessions. ā¢ Lacks awareness of others. Physical ā¢ May struggle with balance and co-ordination. ā¢ Introduced to different types of movement (running, jumping etc). ā¢ Finds balancing difficult. Football Specific ā¢ Capable of basic, one paced kicking. ā¢ Can maintain the stop position with help. ā¢ Frequently unable to dribble (the ball!). ā¢ Quickly learns to enjoy scoring goals.
